Kryz Uy has always been outspoken about her motherhood journey, including the struggles that come with it. On social media, she opened up about something some women might be afraid to discuss: mom guilt.
ICYDK, the influencer and doting mother of two adorable kids recently jet-setted to Korea sans her children and husband Slater Young—her first trip abroad after almost three years.
Before her flight, she made sure to say goodbye to her eldest son, two-year-old Scottie, and get honest with him about her reason for flying out. “I’m gonna miss you a lot. I’m gonna call you, okay? I’m gonna think of you every day.” Her words made little Scottie emotional, so she quickly hugged him and offered comfort. “Don't cry. I'm going to come back. I'll come back... I love you so much,” she tells him. Aww!
On the description note of her 24-minute vlog, she wrote, “The day has finally come guys. It was a hard goodbye, but definitely a necessary one. Leaving Cebu without Slater or the kids felt so unreal.”
She added, “After three years, setting out on my own felt kind of sinful. Sounds a bit dramatic but I felt torn between the person I have grown to be and the person I’ve always known. It’s gonna be a journey finding my place moving forward, but I’m so happy to be going through it with all of you.”
Kryz's work trip is for a beauty brand’s one-week-long event, where she’ll be attending a seminar and doing sightseeing.
