1 Looking into lessening your carbon footprint? Then we have good news for you! Prevention.com reports that the New Nordic Diet (NND) is considered to be the most eco-friendly diet, according to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

NND is primarily based on consuming organic, locally found, and in-season produce, and it's composed of fruits, nuts and vegetables, and whole grains. It also has 35% less meat than the normal Danish diet.

As expected, the NND produced less carbon foodprint since the growth of the produce relied more on Mother Nature instead of depending on agricultural technology. Also, transportation expenses on vegetables and fruit are dramatically less than transporting livestock.
