Is your job wearing you out to the point that you leave the office drained? Join the club. If you want to end your workday feeling pumped up to go home or hang out with your friends, here are some really easy things you can do in your work station that’ll let it happen. These tips were given by Dr. Frank Lipman, a nutritonist, the founder of Eleven-Eleven Wellness Center and the author of Revive: Stop Feeling Spent and Start Living Again; Yvette Rose, a wellness coach and founder of Joulebody; and Suze Schwartz, the founder of Unplug Meditation.

For mental health

1. Place your hands on your chest.

2. Inhale for four seconds, exhale for four seconds.

3. Repeat for two minutes.

For fitness

1. Keep your computer screen at eye level.

2. Make sure your hands and elbows are on one even plane. This will help keep proper posture.

For nutrition

1. Drink a glass of warm lemon water to hydrate and energize the body.


For mental health

1. Take a walk for about 15 minutes to get your bones and muscles moving. If it’s not too hot outside, walk outside to also get some vitamin D.

For fitness

1. While sitting, hold the left side of your desk chair with your left hand.

2. Bring your right arm up, over your head.

3. Inhale and lean to the left. Hold for six breaths, then release.

4. Switch sides and repeat the whole thing six times.


For nutrition

1. Eat food with complex carbs and proteins that will give you energy.


For mental health

1. Massage a few drops of peppermint oil on your wrists, behind your ears, and your temples. This increases focus.

For fitness

1. Stand up with your legs hip-width apart.

2. Inhale as you reach your arms up in the air.

3. Exhale, bend forward at the waist, and reach for your feet for 15 seconds.

4. Repeat five times.

For nutrition

1. Snack on food high in fiber and is energy-boosting.

End of the day

1. Do something you like for 10 to 15 minutes without distractions.
