What is good is usually bad for you, but that’s not the case here. According to a study by researchers at the University of Aberdeen, people who eat two bars of chocolate a day are 11 percent less likely to suffer from heart disease, nine percent less likely to land in a hospital or get a coronary heart disease, and 25 percent less likely to succumb to associated death. Their stroke risk also decreases by 23 percent! All in all, it sounds like a pretty sweet deal (pun intended).

BUT, it’s also important to remember that the study was done on men and women who are young and healthy. This means that they probably don't have pre-existing conditions to worry about and that they are also more likely to exercise. If you’re already having trouble maintaining your weight or if you have a health condition like diabetes, this may not be the best news for you. However, there are other ways to reap the benefits of chocolate, mainly by eating healthy, engaging in regular physical activity, and getting enough sleep!
