It’s not every day that you meet your favorite celebrity (or any celebrity for that matter), so when you spot one at the mall (or anywhere else, really), you want to make that moment count. Some celebrities are not too keen on meeting their fans, but others really go out of their way to make you have the full-on fan experience. Here, five amazing fan encounters we wish we could have:
1. George Clooney
Winning a date with George Clooney seems like a highly impossible goal, single mom Jean Allen certainly had luck in spades! After joining charity raffle Omaze.com for just $10, she and her daughter became the actor’s date during the premier of The Monuments Men. And to think it was her first date since 2010! Queen B Beyonce has such a huge heart! According to Pop Sugar, at her Las Vegas concert, she sang a duet with a young fan named Taylon who was terminally ill with cancer. See the touching video here.
3. Natalie Portman
Just as V for Vendetta was showing in the US, Natalie Portman surprised a class at Columbia University, New York, to talk about terrorism. The students were all thrilled to see the beautiful actress, but we think the teacher was even more thrilled that his students were actually paying attention in class!
4. James Franco
Revenge is sweet. During a photo shoot at a private home, James Franco learned that the homeowner’s 15-year-old daughter had just broken up with her boyfriend who turns out to be a huge fan of the actor. To help get back at the boy, he took this photo of him hugging the girl and said, “Post it on Facebook and tell him to eat his heart out!” reports US Magazine. See the famous photo here.
5. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift really loves her fans. While driving near a mall in Nashville, the pop star saw a young girl who looked to be about 11 years old wearing her tour t-shirt. In an interview with Parade Magazine, she described how much she wanted to meet the young fan, reports Hollywood Life. “I made a U-turn and tried to follow her—I really had to do some maneuvering. I found her in a video-game store and just kind of walked up to her and said, ‘Oh, hi. I wanted to meet you.’ She had no idea what to say for about three minutes. Then her mom walked over, burst into tears, and proceeded to tell me that they’d driven all the way from Austin, Texas, just to see where I was discovered.”
