1. You’re okay with where you are.
You start every day feeling that you’re where you’re supposed to be, and you’re grateful for it. Whether you’re a freelancer, an employee, or a stay-at-home mom, a lifestyle that allows you to be both independent and content with your personal journey is important.

2. You treat yourself to an out-of-town adventure once in a while.
Traveling is a pilgrimage back to yourself because it put things in perspective. Exploring the world also reminds you that there are always so many things to discover and learn about. Giving yourself time to do so not only broadens your horizons, but also enriches your soul.

3. You eat well.
Being able to pay for at least three proper meals a day is something to be thankful for. Good food nourishes your brain and body in order for you to set out and follow your passions.

4. You may not know exactly what you want, but you know what you don’t want.
Uncertainty opens you up to new possibilities, while knowing what you don’t want gives you guidelines of where you should be headed. It means that you’re not blindly moving forward, and that you already have a set of standards in place which will enable you to make educated decisions.

5. You have your own interests and beliefs.
You don’t look at other people and easily get swayed or influenced by what they like or don’t like. You have your own hobbies and interests, and you form your own opinions about things that matter. You revel in your individuality and dance to the beat of your own drum.

6. You have things to look forward to.
Every day brings something new to your table. You get excited about spending time with interesting people and going on new adventures. You don’t need to have a fully-booked social life in order to be happy, because you also look forward to those quiet moments when you can read a good book or watch the next episode of your favorite series.

7. You can be genuinely happy for others.
You’re competitive, but you are also appreciative of the success of others. The achievements of those around you inspire you and push you to be more and to do more.

8. You can rely on yourself.
You’re physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially stable. You can do things on your own when it need be, and you don’t feel the least insecure when you’re having lunch in a full restaurant all by yourself. When life throws you lemons, you can catch them on your own, and you know you have the power to pick yourself up when things don’t go your way.

9. You have a good set of friends.
You don’t have many people you are close to, but you have a small, solid set of friends who you can lean on when you have too much on your plate. They are your ultimate support group, and you are sure that you have them for life.

10. You love and are loved.
You may have a really crappy dating history, but if you have people around you who love you the way you are and who you love with all your heart in return, then you’re doing better than you think you are.
