Iris Mittenaere from France made history on January 30 when she won the title of Miss Universe, besting contestants from 85 other countries. She is only the second title-holder from France, which last won the beauty pageant in 1953.
Aside from the sapphire-and-diamond-encrusted crown from Diamonds International Inc., estimated to be worth $300,000, Mittenaere will also receive a lucrative prize package.
According to the Miss Universe organization, the prize includes a year-long salary as Miss Universe and luxury accommodations in New York City where she will be staying for the duration of her reign.
In the US, she will have “access to various events including casting opportunities, movie premieres, screenings, Broadway shows and launch parties.”
As she will have a long list of events to attend, Mittenaere will also receive a slew of products to make sure she’s at her best, including a one-year supply of haircare products and tools from Farouk Systems; a shoe wardrobe from Chinese Laundry Shoes & Accessories; and a personalized face chart and products from MAC Cosmetics.
Her health and wellness is also a priority to keep her in top shape during her reign. Thus, personal services including membership to Gravity Fitness @ Le Parker Meridien Hotel, skincare services, hair services from John Barrett Salon and health and nutrition consultation and dental services will also be provided.
As Miss Universe, Mittenaere is also expected to travel around the globe to further increase awareness for her advocacies, which include health and oral hygiene.
