tweetie_de_leon.jpgTweetie de Leon-Gonzalez began modeling at age 14, and even as she rose in stature in the industry, she gave equal importance to her studies, completing her education. On the runway and in print, she was one of the few morenas to make their unforgettable mark. To this day, Tweetie’s advocacy of a healthy lifestyle has her very much in demand for advertising campaigns. The proud mother of four devotes her creative energy to Ice Crystals, designing and crafting handmade jewelry, which is carried by Rustan’s and is now also sold in Paul Smith stores in London, Milan and L.A.  She is especially proud of bringing to international attention her use of kamagong, a species of Philippine hardwood, that she considers her trademark.

“The joy and confidence I have in doing what I do comes from the security I get from my family.” Life hasn’t always gone Tweetie’s way, but as long as she believes she’s done her best, it’s success enough for her. “Whether the outcome of my efforts are favorable to me or not, I am successful. I always try to be guided by my values and principles, all ingrained in me by my parents, when faced with difficult situations and in conducting myself.”
