After the wedding was called off by the groom himself, the bride’s family from Sacramento, California turned a sad ending into a positive one. According to KCRA, Kari Duane received a call from her 27-year old daughter, Quinn, and was told that the wedding was canceled. It was then that she decided to do something where they could give back to the community.

Instead of wedding guests, the hall was filled with less fortunate people who were able to enjoy the extravagant feast hosted by the Duane family at the Citizen Hotel. The food catered by four-star restaurant The Grange.

One man came with his whole family and considered the feast as a blessing. When you’re going through a hard time and a struggle for you to get out to do something different and with your family, it was really a blessing,” he said.
