Two years ago, Disney announced that a live-action Beauty and the Beast movie will be released, and kids (and the kids at heart) all over the world just couldn’t wait to see it – now, it’s finally here.

We were able to catch the premiere at Happy Skin and Disney's Beauty and the Beast private screening, and we absolutely loved it! Sure, you may have watched the animated version when you were young, but seeing it as an adult will open your eyes to things that you didn’t notice before. Plus, Belle is so relatable! She’s the epitome of beauty, bravery, and loyalty; you can definitely learn a thing or two from her:

Your family will be there through thick and thin.

Now that you're in your 30s, you've spent years becoming the strong and independent woman that you are; but of course, your family will always be there for you. No matter what happens, your loved ones will be there to support you all throughout whatever you’re pursuing; you can count on them to be a shoulder to lean on when things go wrong unexpectedly. Don't be afraid to ask for help or support when you need it.

Women are fighters.

Gone are the days when women were considered the weaker sex. Say goodbye to the thought that we need a man to protect us. Don't be afraid to fight for what you know is right.

Don’t settle for Mr. Right Now

…even if he’s got the looks and the charm. You have to be careful when it comes to love; yes, men will pursue you but you shouldn’t fall too quickly. Get to know the person first and when there are red flags you just can’t ignore, let him go. After years of dating and getting into relationships, you should be able to identify which relationships are worth pursuing and which are not.

Always be kind.

As much as you want to release your inner dragon lady when the circumstance calls for it, you should remember to keep calm and stay classy. Handle the situation with care and think before you speak. Remember, spoken words can never be taken back.

Smart, confident women are attractive.

There’s always been a notion that this kind of woman can be intimidating and while that’s true, (the right) men also find this trait utterly appealing. You don’t have to dumb yourself down just to get noticed by a guy. Stay real and you’ll attract someone who deserves you. As a mature woman, you don't have time to pretend to be someone else, you are who you choose to be and you stick to that—no questions asked.

Don’t believe everything you hear.

Whether that’s at work or play, always know both sides of the story before jumping into conclusions because it's the right thing to do. Always double check before reacting (or worse, retaliating) so you don't end up embarrassing yourself.

It’s okay to be different.

There’s nothing wrong with being unique! Don’t try to change yourself just to be deemed acceptable to society. Instead, embrace your individuality and you’ll find that you're not as alone as you think.

You shouldn’t care much about what others think.

…because worrying about other people’s opinions about you can only hinder your happiness. Let them talk but don’t let their words affect you or your judgment. If you see yourself as a princess, then live it!
