The word "aphrodisiac" has a rather broad definition; it's basically a substance that causes sexual desire. Stimulation can either be visual (food may resemble a sexual organ), olfactory (through sensual scents), or chemical (where certain enzymes, vitamins, or minerals stimulate the production of sexual hormones).

We have heard of aphrodisiacs of exotic origins such as rhinoceros horn, which is said to resemble an erect penis, and Spanish fly. But why cause an animal's extinction or add crushed bugs to your drink when you can find sexually stimulating foods in your kitchen pantry or refrigerator?
