Travel site Big 7 Travel has released its list of the 50 most romantic restaurants in the world. According to the site, the results from each country were chosen from combined scores of votes from the 1.5 million members of its social community and its editorial team.
Four Filipino restaurants made it to the list: Blackbird, La Cabrera, Grace Park, and NINYO. Back in July, Blackbird also made it to Monocle's Top 50 Restaurants of 2019.
Opening the list at number 50 is La Cabrera, the Argentinian steakhouse in Makati. Big 7 Travel's review of the steakhouse is concise: "Cozy up in a cute little corner of La Cabrera because you're about to fall in love all over again. This quaint Manila restaurant is the perfect spot for a date night in the Philippines. Comfy leather couches and quiet corners await."
Meanwhile, Blackbird, which reviewers describe as chic and casual, landed at 37th place. "Infused with aviation themes and decor, Blackbird is the kind of place you'd go for a special date. It's casual enough to help you relax but not so luxurious that it's over the top," says Big 7 Travel's list.
Chef Margarita Fores' Grace Park also made the list at 25th place. "Not only is Grace Park helmed by one of Asia's best female chefs, Margarita Fores, but its vintage, calming interiors create a cozy, intimate setting. Enjoy some of the finest food in the Philippines as your heart oozes at just how in love you are," writes the editors.
NINYO Fusion Cuisine and Wine Lounge in Quezon City landed at 12th place. Editors describe the wine lounge as a perfect setting for a romantic evening. "There have been many a proposal here, and it's easy to see why. Lush gardens await you, just be sure to bring a lock to hang on their special love lock wall," says the review.
Topping the list of the 50 most romantic restaurants in the world is Singapore's CE LA VI, followed by Taiwan's Morton's The Steakhouse, and Thailand's famous Treepod Dining.
