Triathlon
« on: December 03, 2014, 03:12:20 pm »
Hi sisses! Opening a thread on triathlon. :) Right now, there's no dedicated thread on it, nasisingit and nababanggit banggit lang siya sa running or swimming and even other threads as well. It deserves its own thread, right? ;)

Who's preparing for a tri? Who's dreaming of finishing a triathlon? Who's already a triathlete? :) Share!

Me, I've always been a runner. It's my favorite sport. I've ran and finished strong a marathon (just reiterating that the marathon distance is 42.195 kilometer hihi) and heaps of other shorter distance races in the past. I also bike and I have finished some duathlons (run - bike - run). As for swim, I've been having formal swim coaching (freestyle, Total Immersion technique) the past 6 months or so.

And guess what, I finally (finally kasi I've long been dreaming of doing it, I just couldn't get started) finished my first triathlon the other weekend ;D Ang sarap sarap ng pakiramdam!

I am a proud mommy triathlete. Yay I can finally call myself a triathlete na haha! Training for it was not easy, given my plate is full with so many things. But ladies, it can be done. :) Hoping to find other tri enthusiasts and wannabes here! :)
Live happy! :)

Congrats! right now I am "training" for my first ever marathon. Yes di naman talaga ako nakakapagtraining kasi I am very busy but I know I should have no excuses plus motivation kasi kapitbahay ko lang si Coach Rio. haha. Anyway when I get to finish my first 42k, I will try duathlon then tri na. :)
Just sticking around for some dose of good vibes <333

^ Hope your marathon went great, sis, and above all -- hope you had fun! :D

Yep, personally, if you're coming from zero, best if you focus on one sport muna. Then another, and then simultaneous na. Iwas burn out na rin and para hindi gaanong mabigat agad ang training. :)

Am looking for a small-time race anytime soon. Wala pa akong naka-line up na race hehe.
Live happy! :)

Hello girls,

Can you please refer a good swim instructor for a beginner? I wanted to go ahead with triathlon but swimming is my weakness. :( Thank you!
