2019 Financial Goals
« on: February 01, 2019, 02:09:17 am »
Happy new year!

Anong plans nyo i-achieve for the rest of the year? I'm turning 29 (yikes) this year and I know it's about time to get really serious about money and my financial health. Here are my targets for the year. Hopefully, mabalik-balikan ko ito to remind myself of my goals and para na din ma-inspire sa financial journeys ninyo :)

-add about 50K each to BDO and BPI savings accounts
-open a mutual funds account
-invest in Pag-ibig MP2
-save 70k for Saporro in 2020
-increase Pag-ibig contributions (maybe 500 per month as I pay the required minimum lang now)
-pay off SSS debt (i have about 6k unpaid when i switched jobs)

ito yung mga feasible goals ko right now, having taken into consideration yung non-monetary goals ko naman for the year and syempre ayoko rin masyado i-deprive yung sarili ko. saktong balance lang between discipline and delayed gratification lol. Good luck to us!

I am 31 and I love making goals and plans, for this year my financial goals are:

Savings:
- Save atleast 170k per month, which i will use mostly on investment, i don't like keeping my money in the bank.

Business and Investments:
- Increase combined(me and hubby) retirement fund to 15M by buying additional VUL, it will also mean that our Insurance coverage will be increased to 3M and 4M ( i know not enough so the plan is to buy again next yr)
- Farm Investment of 600k
- Mutual fund of 600k
- Business rolling fund of 1M (medyo nangangapa pa kami sa business so more on pambayad sa mga expenses for business and personal, then rollover lang muna napupunta, wala pang tinatabi sa profit for savings)

Expenses:
- Wedding fund of 500k
- House furnishing of 500k
- Upgrade of car if may budget pa

Maybe not this year but hopefully in  4 years, I will be financially independent and finally resign from my job to do the things I am more passionate about. I am a believer of the FIRE (Financial Independent, Retire Early) Movement hence, I am aggressive in savings and investing presently.

My car is barely a year old. Bought it last January and I was thinking, if ever magkaroon ako ng enough money this 2019 to pay my car loan in full, should I go for it or just save the money and tuloy ko lang yung loan hanggang sa maturity. Iba-iba kasi nababasa at napapanood ko, others say bayaran, yung iba i-save muna. :(

Goal ko lang kasi sana na wala na ako utang before I turn 40, which is 3 years form now. Hahaha!

28 female.

Get to 200k total net worth. (Right now at 160k)

Get to 100k saving (the portion without retirement acct). Right now at 71k saving.

Get a promotion which hopefully give me 20% bump in salary

Think about marriage and make a decision on whether to seal the deal.

Do more exercise to be more healthy (so that I can enjoy my savings!)

^  I totally agree to "Do more exercise to be more healthy (so that I can enjoy my savings!)." How we can enjoy our savings if we are sick, right?! so staying healthy and fit is very important.
