Freeware photo editors?
« on: August 18, 2009, 07:48:22 pm »
hi! i've been wanting to go back to digital scrapbooking, and i'd like to get your recommendations for freeware photo editors that can be used as an alternative to adobe photoshop.

do you any of you have experience with gimp or gimp shop? :)

Haven't used Gimp but for simple Digital Scrapbook Lay-outs, try Photoscape - http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php

For photo editing, try PhotoFiltre - http://photofiltre.en.softonic.com/

kublador, gimp is good but takes a little getting used to. in some ways similar to photoshop but also very different. :)

trustingsoul, it_girl, thanks for the suggestions!

If you're familiar with Photoshop the closest you will find is Gimp. I use Paint.NET for minor or quick edits.
