sabi dito http://pinoy-business.com/content/view/788/59/

"Paternity leave is only seven (7) days, with pay (see full text of Republic Act 8187, or the "Paternity Leave Act of 1996"). It's available to male employees in the private and public sectors, and is intended for the father to effectively lend support to his wife in her period of recovery and/or in the nursing of the newly-born child."

di sinabi kung sa sss to... employer daw inotify eh... baka employer nalang magbigay...  :D

wala ngang gsis benefit kasi mismong company nyo magbibigay ng 2 months na sahod nyo, di ba sa sss naman ganon din, pano yun tuloy pa din sahod nyo sa company?

^No sis, SSS maternity benefit normally yung nakukuha ng employee. Advance lang binibigay ng company then they reimbursed it na lang with the SSS. Ang sabi ng friend ko na gov't employee, wala nga daw gsis maternity benefit. Sad naman..kahit parang leave with pay??

Alam ko kapag naka 2 years or more, entitled ang employee 60 calendar days with pay. I just don't know if sa office or sa GSIS iyan nangggaling.

Medyo naconfused lang ako.. sa private ba kapag nakamaternity leave sumasahod pa sila? So may sweldo pa sila bukod sa maternity benefits na makukuha nila from SSS?

i work in a gocc. c/s last nov. 2013. got 60 days with pay. mas ok siya if sweldo mo more than 15k noon, 16k now kung nsd. sa sss, pag c/s, 78 days salary credit makukuha mo pero max lang ng 40k, more or less. kung salary mo sa gocc is more than 20k per month lugi ka.

continued my sss as voluntary member. expecting the check anytime soon  ;)

^ dito samin sis, maternity leave is leave WITHOUT pay. Same din sa ibang private company na nabasa ko pero yung sa Ate ko (she works for Friendster before) bayad yung ML nya.
