who pays for the wedding?

Ask ko lang, who pays for the wedding ba? my bf and i are preparing for the possibility of marriage pero he always tells me na mag ipon na daw ako at mag iipon din sya. Gusto nya share kami sa expenses. Ako naman feel ko dapat mas magpursigi sya and hindi nya ko iexpect to pay as in 50:50 for the wedding. Hindi pa nga sya nagpo-propose. He always tells me na magtipid na ako at mag ipon na ko pag nakikita nya na may binibili ako for myself. Medyo disappointed lang ako kasi parang required ako to pay for the wedding.

yan din isip ko dati e, dapat the guy should pay for the wedding. pero as i got older and more practical i realized na it doesn't really matter who pays for the wedding. may friend akong girl she paid for the entire thing, my brother naman who recently got married 50-50 sila ng wife niya. sis ko naman hubby niya nagbayad for the whole thing, only child si guy and yung parents insisted on paying kasi isa lang anak nila na ikakasal. so far all marriages are rock solid and may kiddos/preggy na.

if your bf does not have the means then you have to share. buti nga sinasabihan ka na niya mag ipon, at least he has plans for the future and financially responsible siya. mahirap kasi ang buhay ngayon. pag mag asawa na kayo you are expected to contribute finacially as well. unless ang magiging asawa mo e napaka yaman. mas ok na yung half half basta sure ka na maayos magiging asawa mo at magiging happy kayo in the long run. that's all that matters naman.
