I can say that I am a quite a hoarder.  Looking at articles about minimalism makes me thing that maybe it's time to lessen and give away things I don't use.

Anyone has tips on how to start? to be honest thinking about it gives me a bit of anxiety since I am emotionally attached to most of the items I have.

Baby steps. Don't buy anything you don't need.  If you haven't used an item within a year, dispose of it.  You'll probably not use it anymore.  Like the others, start with a drawer, then move on to your table, etc.  You can do it :)

That's the thing, I always thing what if I will need it. Sometimes, I think I am a lost case.
But, I am thinking to sort my closet before the year ends.

^try reading Goodbye Things by Fumio Sasaki. It might change your mind set regarding the "just in case" things. ;)

^Thanks for the suggestion.   Nakakaengganyo talaga ang maaliwalas na bahay.  This weekend, I hope to start cleaning and sorting out our closet.  Nakakapanghina at nakakatamad kumilos kasi sobrang init ng panahon.  At least ngayong medyo umuulan-ulan na, medyo malamig na at hindi na nakaka-alibadbad kumilos

Ang hirap maging minimalist, may napanood akong video about minimalist, nagtry ako and there's one thing I noticed na di ko namalayan, ganun na pala ako.

True!

Sa sisses natin with kids, where and how to start?

I have 2 toddlers, 2 and 4.  Ang hirap ata maging minimalist when you have to change their clothes more than 5 times a day and laundry is twice a week only. And disposable diapers everywhere. Honestly, nagu guilty ako sa disposable diapers but I dont have a yaya and hubby and I both work full time. So no time for other things.

I started practicing minimalism since we transferred to a new home. I purged 50% of our things. Super nakakagaan ng feeling kapag walang clutter. I got inspired by The Minimalists and Mari Kondo videos. We're a family of 3 plus 1 helper. My daughter is turning 1. What I'm doing is that, mga nalakihan niyang things/clothes, I donate or sell. That's it. I'm not a hoarder kaya hindi mahirap sa akin to part ways with things that I no longer use. Hindi ko iniisip yung 'just in case'. Like magtatabi ng mga ganitong stuff 'just in case'.

Due to this quarantine, I have been spending a LOT of time watching youtube channels. One of the topics or channels I usually watch are minimalist living, van life and travel/nomadic lifestyle vlogs.

Even before ECQ, this becomes part of my daily routine, watching a youtuber talking about their lives,-hiking, traveling, etc. Im addicted to these channels because, they pretty much living my dreams and all I could do is watch.

So this ECQ got me time to think and reflect. I am in my late 30's, single, in a pretty good financial state, I'm almost out of debt and have a decent job that pays well. My job actually paved the way for my financial wellbeing but it requires that I have to be there from 8-5, doing desk job. I really love my job- this is the longest I've stayed- but I also want to live a nomadic lifestyle and truly live.

I maybe one of the millions of people (millennial mostly) to have this kind of problem. The biggest reason why I am still not doing it is because of fear. What if it won't work out? I may not have a fallback. I don't want to start from the beginning.

I wanted to hike more mountains, to travel more especially in the Philippines-go to places and enjoy the local's way of life but I wanted it full time, whenever and wherever I want it. This does not happen if you have an 8-5 job.

So, I am conflicted. I can live with my basic necessities including my dog. But then, fear. I am writing this because I wanted to tell the universe of my desire and fear. Maybe the universe can answer.
