I share my realization. Often when I am happy or whatever I prayed for was granted I never felt Him leaving me. But problems came and what I prayed for didnt happen, I complain He doesnt love nor care about me. Eto na yun line na we say He is distant. But He is always w/ us.  A test was given to strengthen us and learn to be patient that prayers are answered in 3 ways, yes it will be given now and wait coz He has something better to give us.

I was in the dark for 2.5yrs. I questioned His ways but I learned ako pala yun lumayo. I am now starting my relationship with God again.

when God seems distant? Yeah. I feel He is. But, my realization is He is just near me. I think it was me who went away. when things are tough somehow I lose my hope and Trust a long the way. But God is really good because He never leave me. Now I am happy with the outcome. that I keep my Faith although sometimes I almost felt that nothing will change. I believed that everything happens because of o purpose and God's time is the perfect time.:-)

You are a spirit child of the "Source of all things".  You are also a "spark" of his Godliness.  You are a god in "embryo".  For this truth please understand, you are one with God.  in a sense, you are god.  I do not think you need to worship a god other than the God that is in you.  We all have "higher selves".  this higher self is directly connected to the highest realms of godliness.  therefore, God is never distant.  God has already given everyone the power to lead a life that you want to design for yourself.  You have the power to create your own reality.  Your thoughts, words and actions are powerful enough.  God will not create a life for you.  He has given you that privilege, so use it to the fullest.  When down and out and feeling lonely, be assured that you have th power to uplift yourself.  You have the resolve to change your life and state of being.  Hope this helps

Sometimes kasi we are actually the one who builds the wall. Last week was a terrible one for me. It all started Monday morning then tuloy tuloy na. Problem is, I embraced the negativity and allowed myself to be miserable. I prayed during those instances but I did not prayed hard enough. It was only when I took the time to pray hard and long enough ng medyo naayos feeling ko. So when God seems distant, pray harder.

God never leaves us, it is us who leaves God... "How I wish to gather you just like a hen would gather her chicks under the protection of her wing..." but you wouldn't. We do not see God because we focus too much on our material things/wealth or we make our troubles bigger than our God.

Often times we look to high and too far searching for God, that we fail to notice that God is within us, He may just be that person whom we neglected... God manifest himself in many things, we only have to look around.

I know God will not give more than we cannot bear. But how do you know that you pray harder? Should you pray Rosary, Novena, walk to altar with your knees, read bible? I know I should know this by this time but, can you describe this for me?

I go to Church almost every sunday, pray to God before going to bed and waking up (well sometimes I forget to), mind not to do and think bad things but are these enough?

Whatever our religion, we must try to feel God as part of our daily lives. Not just as someone on call when we are in crisis. 
This is hard to achieve, though we practically grew up with madres in private schools. 

1st  Step for me was to really embrace that I am important to Him, and that no concern of mine is too small/trivial/babaw to bring to His attention.
2nd Step for me was to really believe He is forgiving;  has forgiven me my past big & small mistakes; & that should I fail Him again, He will forgive me again.
3rd Step was to install the  JESUS CALLING app by Sarah Young in my IPhone.  It's great.

@ ann08 - ( Imo)  The will of  God in our life  is not about details. He will not whisper in your ear. But you need to take care of the details. God's  will is to Love like Jesus.  You don' t need to show how religious you are. What most important to him is your faithfulness to him. We only have to trust and surrender our life to him. And God will give us all what we deserve.

My opinion. Hindi nawala si God. Andyan lang sya. Minsan tayo ang nakakalimot na magdasal at magpasalamat. Miinsan dahil masyado tayong busy at madaming iniisip nakakalimutan na dapat sa kanya tayo unang makipag usap dahil andyn lang naman sya sa tabi natin na nakasubaybay.

God seems so distant because our fears, problems etc. are closer to our minds and hearts, or we focus on our problems so much that we lose our sight and experience of HIM.

I feel this as well, pero in my heart alam kong lagi lang Sya nandyan sa tabi natin, tayo ang bumibitiw talaga kung minsan, kaya when I pray, I'd tell Him "Lord, please wag nyo akong hayaan lumayo sa inyo.. let not the thing's I do keep me away from You, let me see You in everything that I do and say, let me see You through the people I meet everyday. I also pray that people will see Your goodness, through me as well. Amen."
