1,500 cals or 1,800 cals?

Hey guys! So I lost 20 lbs going on 1,500 cals a day... I am 5?9 150 lbs, however, my stupid self realized that 1,500 cals was under my BMR. Which just isn?t good at all. So I stopped the diet and I maintained the weight surprisingly. However, I?m confused now as my caloric needs to maintain my weight are between 2,000 and 2,350... and my BMR apparently is around 1,611. Should I continue on the 1,800 cals or should I do something else as a whole? I?m trying to build muscle as much as I can (as I?ve only began weightlifting as of recently).
