If you love oysters, go to Tsumura (88 Corporate Centre) on Tuesdays and Fridays, may fresh oysters sila kasi yun yung schedule ng delivery. Yung gindara, tempura, wagyu etc. nila not bad pero cheaper sa iba like Kimpura.

^mga 1-1.5k sis ang budget for me per person sa Sugi.  Hindi naman masama ang prices sa sugi. Ang naalala ko ang mga donburi meals nila prang 550 pesos ganyan, kaprice lang ng mga imported katsu restau na meals.  kaya napapamahal kasi yung mga sushis nila  meron imported ang ingredients so mahal, parang 350 ang starting price, pero fresh na fresh naman kaya worth it na rin.  basta di kayo sobrang splurge sa masarap ngunit medyo mahal na sushi at sashimi nila, kaya naman iadjust sa budget ang Sugi :-)

We used to go here and i remember the soft shelled crabs. Other than that, everything else is pretty basic and parking is hard so I'd rather go elsewhere.

I also like Haru. Items are reasonably priced (budget of around PHP 700/person) and satisfying. Not top of the line, but definitely better than average. And the restaurant has a warm, homey feel to it. The offbeat interior's a plus point.

izakaya kikufuji - food is superb and the serving is huge buuuuut the service, especially the waitresses can make do with a whole lot of improvement.

Osaka Maki
Malalaki yung mga roll nila, Kung 2 lang kakain, Nakakabusog na talaga

Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl ~~ malaki serving; di ko naubos, dahil nga dami namin roll na inorder
Ebi Tempura ~~ masarap hindi puro breading

Masarap and fave jap restos ko ngayon ay kimono ken and ooma. Not so expensive but they serve really good sushi rolls and donburi. Im hungry na hahaha

Dohtonbori - Sarap ng Okonomiyaki nila. Ang yung Garlic Angus steak nagulat kami madami pero ang mura. Hindi lamg namin gusto yung rice, hindi kasi japanese rice talaga.

Gusto ko sana itry coco ichiban kaso dito sa pinas sosyalin na restaurant ang dating, naitry kasi namin recently sa malapit sa cerulean hotel tokyo  simpleng lugar lang.

Haba lang ng pila lagi pero gusto namin sa kikifuji. Medyo consistent lang talaga na masungit mga serbidora parang sa seryna 😄

Kikufuji of little tokyo is one of the bets! Spicy salmon sashimi is love! Hindi pwedeng hindi itry yun kapag kumain dun.

Natry ko yung may unli wagyu sa little tokyo. Sulit naman kung mag isa o dalawa lang kayo. Kasi kung apat kayo, mag aagawan kayo dun sa maliit na lutuan nila, charcoal ata gamit kaya mabagal magluto at may limit sa time, 45min.

Nihonbashitei fave ko after kikufuji. Masarap din salmon sashimi nila matamis tamis

Sakura, i like it kasi nagluluto din. Brings back many childhood memories kaya kahit may times na di ganun ka-ok experience, babalik balikan ko pa rin

Ooma - also by chef bruce ricketts but more affordable than Mecha Uma

Marufuku - the wagyu skewer, chicken teriyaki and the grilled oyster in miso. My go-to resto

Yakumi at Solaire - they have the freshest sashimi and seasonal hokkaido crabs

Ogawa - huuuuuge imported oysters. May in-laws' favorite!

Up for this thread! Japanese is my favorite cuisine.

Tsumura for the win! Followed by Makati Shang's Inagiku. For cheaper and go-to resto, I'd say Omakase. Kikufuji of Little Tokyo on the other hand is a so so, but very affordable!
