^I know but like I said, some people don't understand what you are going through. Fortunately, there's more awareness about this disease here in Canada. Mas properly diagnosed kasi dito and treatment is readily available.

"Yung parang jolt that wakes you up? Maybe, or it can be sleep apnea.

I learned that anxiety is also a symptom of perimenopause syndrome which can happen 10 years before the actual menopause. I am turning 47 soon, so I am in that stage already.

I've had this since I was a kid but it just went away and it wasn't properly diagnosed. Last year, I was brought to ER because of difficulty breathing and it was diagnosed as anxiety attack. Last week, I was sent to ER again because of this.

I had psychiatrist consultation last year and was given prescription but because I didnt want to rely on meds, I tried to control it and it went away. Last week, i had no choice but to take the meds because it was getting worse.

Is there anyone here who experienced this? If so, what did you do?

ang problem ay kung nag attack napakahirap po. try to visit my doctor in Cardinal Santos Medical Center - Dr Winnie Lim Khoo magaling po siya at madaling kausap. Down to earth pa

HI,

Have anyone tried online tests for anxiety and depression? I have tried multiple but I am not sure if they are accurate.

Also, I have been searching for a good psychiatrist that is open during weekends. I feel that my anxiety is not getting better.  I can feel my heartbeat is going faster and difficulty sometimes with my breathing.

I hope someone can suggest and hopefully within Quezon City.

^I asked my doctor about it. She said that if I have never tried cannabis before, don't start. Iba-iba daw effect for each individual but she doesn't recommend as anxiety treatment. Effective daw though in managing aches and pain.

Someone recommended cannabis as well, but I asked my cousin who is a doctor and she said DON'T. Cause there is really no proven studies that it can help and worst it can make it worst.

^Baka lalo lang akong ma-praning...lol! Recreational cannabis is now legal in Canada so I don't need prescriptions to get it, but no thanks.

I was diagnosed with a mental illness late 2016 and I would say I am very thankful for my family/relatives for they brought me to a psychiatrist.

I am handling people at work and it all started when something happened at work and I needed to do my job and discipline some subordinates and then followed by days where I was not able to sleep because of the different thoughts that?s coming to my head (insomnia) and the fact that I did not have sleep adds up to my anxieties that I got the feeling that I will be ill or die soon. I asked my family to bring me to the ER twice, was not able to go to work for several days, talked to a nun and a priest because I was really confused on what was happening to me. I am a cry baby but during that time I cannot get my self to cry just to get it off my chest, I was only feeling an overwhelming fear and guilt. Basta mga sis before nagpa consult sa psychiatrist maraming nangyari sa akin that time na bad or odd things na hindi ko maipaliwanag.

The psychiatrist gave me some meds and I did not went back after the first consultation because the meds work and was able to get back to my old self after two weeks. Sabi niya ang mga nangyari daw sa akin ay nangyayari sa mga taong matatalino.

Forward Dec 2018, what happened in 2016 unfortunately came back and this time the psychiatrist told me that since this is the second attack, medication will take 1 yr minimum. I told her about my concerns in taking meds for a long time and she said that I do not have to worry about it and focus on the benefits that I will get now in taking them.

I had a history of bullying during my childhood and my workplace now and growing up mabilis din talaga akung makabahan and matakutin din like takot ako sa pusa. It is hard but I am trying to be strong for my family and think that I am enjoying a lot of blessings that healthy people do not have.

Yes sis i have.

The other day my boss told me that during meetings there are instances when they see that my face or cheeks are moving (involutarily). It bothered me but then I thought that was a good thing that he told me so I can discuss it with my doctor.

Last night, I was in tears while reading some of the posts here because I know how hard it is. I feel you sissies and I am facing it the right way by asking for professional help. In terms of gastos-I know God will provide. Sana mapagtyagaan ko.

What I like about my doctor now is that she just listens and then gives very practical advise/s.

Have read alot of articles, seen a lot of self help youtube videos since December from mindfulness, Sad Ghuru, Eackhart Tolle, Tiny Buddha, CBT, from monks, etc. So far nagwo work talaga sa akin is from Marc and Angel Hack Life and Xandria Ooi, follow nyo sila sa Facebook. I already stop seeing videos and following others in FB nakakapraning pag marami kang pinapasok sa utak mo na kung [textspeak!] ano.

Sis, you can ask me questions. At least I have FN to share my story, nakakagaan din sa loob

I do have Social Anxiety.

Most of the time I dread going to the toilet or passing through hallway na meron ako makakasalubong.  I have problem with people getting too close with me, parang ayaw tanggapin ng comfort zone ko and I feel very guilty kasi mababait sila but I just can't eat lunch with them or have a normal conversation ng hindi nagpapanic or hindi na anxiety.  Most of the time, i don't give eye contact kasi its too unbearable for me to look them straight in the eye pag meron silang ineexplain sa akin.  I get very nervous kasi baka akala nila i am flirting with them (now, this is subsiding).

Just now, i don't get invites anymore kasi i think I am projecting an aura na hindi sila invited makipag kaibigan sa akin which is driving me nuts.  They don't know that its the fear of interacting that's inhibiting me from moving forward with them.  The thing is, gusto ko magbitiw sa work but i have been jumping from one company to another and still the same situation.

Sa simula pag bagong environment, I am okay kasi I don't care pa about them.  But eventually, when they try to get too close with me, I get afraid of them for some reason.  Whenever I hear their voice, my body suddenly jumps as if afraid.

I am not sure if anybody of you experience this.

^Your best bet is talk about your condition especially with friends so they know what you are dealing.

Hi sis. Sorry natagalan reply ko, medyo busy. Pero natanong ko na sa friend ko, name ng psychiatrist nya is Dra. Busuego, sa SLMC QC ang clinic nya. Post partum depression naman yung sa friend ko. Sabi nya 2k daw bayad nya sa first consultation nila.

My doctor's name is Alejandro Baroque II. Neurologist and Psychiatrist sya and he is really good. You can check his profile din, ni google ko lang. :)
