Depressing Films
« on: January 09, 2015, 12:24:02 pm »
Films that left you devastated. Tipong "Why is life so unfair?" "Bakit pa ako nabuhay?" "May hope pa ba?" "Bakit may mga taong ganun?" Anyway, hopefully you get the picture. A film that leaves your soul crushed.

1. Pan's Labyrinth
2. Requiem for A Dream
3. Old Boy (Korean)
4. Schindler's List
5. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

I like Pan's Labryinth actually. For me it's not depressing, but for a fantasy genre it's deep.

At the top of my head:
- Mystic river
- One flew over the cuckoo's nest.

Into The Wild- beautiful but it's sad and lonesome
Irreversible- medyo gory but it's also depressing, had to stop after one of its infamous scene. Di ko kinaya.

Dancer in the Dark, it's sort of a musical pero ito ang movie na humagulgul talaga ako sa ending.. It started off slow from start to ending but worth it sya for me, nadepress ako sa ending.

Welcome (French film)

Nakakadurog ng puso yung ending.  I kept thinking "why?!!" and na it was so unfair.

Atonement.

Ang sad.  Film was beautifully made, but that ending was really really sad.

Local
1. Magnifico - Hindi ko talaga matanggap na namatay si Magnifico. Naiiyak pa rin ako kahit ilang beses ko pang panoorin yung movie na to

Hollywood
1. Hachi: A Dog's Tale - I love dogs that's why I cried so hard in this movie
2. The Pianist - How could anyone not cry especially if you know that it was based on a true story during World War 2.
3. The Mist - Tragic. I hate the ending.
