1. Anong tipo ng lalake ang bumebenta sa inyo sa online dating sites/apps?

2. Nakakahanap ba kayo ng real date? I tried signing up pero mas madaming bakla kesa sa babae. LOL!

3. Don't you feel desperate kapag sumasali sa online dating?

Online dating is already ripe in other countries with lots of couples actually ending up in marriage. Sa Pilipinas, mukhang ginagamit lang to sa paghahanap ng panandaliang aliw. I don't think nandito ang mga quality girls.

i did sign up on one dating site last feb then i ended up deleting my account. tinry ko lang iattempt pumasok ulit sa dating scene. haha!

anyways :
1. syempre, the looks would capture you first pero it's the conversation after that na ang magmamatter. benta sakin iyong witty makipagusap online. i guess dun naman ata kami nafafall mga girls kahit hindi online :-)

2. wala e. so far yung mga nakikilala ko online is just wanting to get laid. that's why i deleted it coz i felt i'm just wasting my time

3. uu hahaha but is so convenient to get to know new people and some can even pretend right

same sentiments. it made me realize there would be rare instances that i'd meet 'quality guys' online. meron pa naman. siguro. baka naghahanap din somewhere and for the quality girls. im sure meron parin, kaso baka napagod narin sila at nagdelete nalang din ng account! hahaha. ayun.

@chichi143: Haha. Agree, it's so convenient lalo na sa mga bagong phones ngayon na may GPS at kaya maglocate ng nearby users. But wala nga masyadong quality girls, but at least it separates the wheat from the chaff.

I tried it too and felt a bit of self-pity after thinking, how would i pit myself against these glossy-mag types of guys. Then I realized many of them are gays, not to mention photoshopped. Merong iba sakin naman nakikipag-chat...depressing. LOL!

Sumisilip silip lang ako kapag may nakita pinaka-nagawa ko na was just sign up sa kabilang forum then posted sa isang thread dun yung type ko and konting descriptions ko.. Pero to date, di pa. Meron nangungulit but di ko pa feel. Pasok naman sya sa academic background pero ewan ko lang sa ugali at height. Height matters to me, lol! Haha ayun. I dont entertain anymore kasi parang nasasayang time ko saka di rin safe eh. Kaya dito lang ako sa gt na, safe at good girl ako dito i'd rather ask my friends kung gusto ko magkaron ng new friends para at least alam nila kung yung makikilala at maiging friend ko ay ok naman

Nag try na rin ng ako sa online dating na yan pero sa totoo lang wala pa tlaga ako nakikilala. Yung ibang site parang may bayad pa to enable emailing or messaging the contacts (and to read their messages as well). Sa totoo lang naisip ko na yung mga girls dun e nagregister lang to meet foreigners. Siguro may ibang online dating site na di ko pa nadidiscover. Oh well, kahit gano pa kalinis ang intensyon mo e ganun din kung di ka rin bibigyan ng chance para makakilala ng ibang tao e baliwala rin.

I used to have an account because of curiosity. I was influenced by a friend so I thought of trying it. At first I just enjoyed reading profiles, there are a lot of interesting people din kasi. Marami ako nakausap dun but I just met a couple of guys kasi nagiingat din ako. Nakakatakot makipagmeet, its risky. Kaya piliin mo yung kikitain mo. Not there to find the 'one', just want to find someone I can hang out with aside from friends. I don't see anything wrong on expanding my circle of friends. Pero syempre not all guys ganun lang gusto nila yung iba gusto relationship or minsan gusto sex lang talaga hanap.

I deleted my account because it's not for me. Okay na yung naexperience ko na minsan I tried it.

- No brainer naman yung good-looking syempre. Pero mas nakakaattract yung conversationalist. Madaldal kasi ako kaya gusto ko hindi boring yung kausap ko. And attracted ako sa guys who's into sports and mahilig magtravel.

I think the Philippines is not yet ready for this system. For this system to actually work out, the Online Dating Service must have the resources to screen the members well and actually match them with the most compatible person. That would need registration fee or successful matching fee which I think would not work for a poor country such as the Philippines where majority of people are in poverty.

I know super tagal na ng thread na to haha pero share ko lang experience ko sa online dating app (OKCupid). The first ever I tried and I could say na ok sya for me. Wala ako na receive na message na indecent (from pinoys man or foreigners). Personally kasi hindi ko bet ang foreigners so sinasabi ko naman agad sa kanila lol. Sa mga pinoy naman na nakausap ko, mostly ang work nasa IT industry din (maybe because nakalagay din kasi sa profile ko yung job ko at madami ako sinagot sa Q&A part when I created my profile kaya ganun ang matches or I could be wrong hehe baka nagkataon lang) and since I put my real photos and my real name dun ayun nakikita ako ng former/current officemates and even friends haha! Syempre kita ko din sila lol. Awkward sobra at first pero keri lang andyan na eh lol.

Madaming ok kausap lalo pa working professionals din, biglang may common friends pa nga lalo na ko naka ilang lipat na ko ng BPO companies haha! Isang tao lang dun yung kinaya at tinagalan kong makausap araw araw at makita sa video call almost every night using other platform na kasi chat lang pwede sa app na yun. Fast forward to after 6 months ng calls, texts, VCs eh naging ghost na sya  hindi ako ready sa eksenang yun haha kaya I deleted the app na pero I still recommend it to my friends.
