Recommended Chinese restaurants
« on: April 21, 2013, 05:25:44 am »
hey everyone! let's share the Chinese restaurants we love and their menu items that we recommend (or do not recommend). ;D we can share both the "traditional" and the more "modern/fusion" restaurants.

for me, i've only tried a few because my family generally prefers Japanese cuisine. pero we're in a food-tripping mode recently and want to try out some good restaurants from different cuisines. :)

Summer Palace - it's been several years ago since i've last eaten here and the only dish i remember up to now is their Hot Prawn Salad. i really loved it, huge prawns!

Gloria Maris - what i remember is that hindi ako nasarapan sa ginawa naming shabu-shabu, but that's our fault, di marunong mag-timpla, haha! how about the other sisses? what can you say about Gloria Maris? we're considering eating here it again. the last time we ate here was several years ago na rin.

Ma Mon L u k - mag-qualify ba to as restaurant? hehe. i just wanted to include this kasi may sentimental value - this was where my parents used to date, so around three decades ago. :) kaya dinala rin kami dito para lang makita namin yung dating "date place" nila, hehe. masarap naman ang beef noodles and siopao. i'm always looking forward to eating here, not just for the food, but because of the sentiment, hehe.

L u k Foo - i think ito na yung pinaka-recent Chinese resto that i've tried. their dishes are quite good, i must say. aside sa favorite kong hot prawn salad, i also liked the spicy spare ribs, and butter garlic prawns.

how about you?? what have you tried and what's your feedback?

Meron kasi silang chili garlc sauce na ubod ng sarap for my taste buds that i always ask the server for
a take-out nung sauce.he!he!

Madalas kami sa tatlong to:

- Shangrila's Finest Cuisine (sa may Times/West Ave) - masarap yung Buddha Jumped Over The Wall (tama ba name??) na soup nila, by advanced order to though. tsaka abalone, sarap din. and gusto ko yung pag-3rd way ng duck e yung salt&pepper (deep fried, sarap papakin)

Pahirapan lang sa parking most of the time, especially pag sakto sa lunch/dinner peak hours

- Golden Fortune (sa may Soler? Basta yung me katabing Beijing foot spa yata yun) - gusto ko yung dimsum nila, especially pag promo price (9pm onwards). Sobrang busog. Tapos pag cash bayad mo, wala nang service charge (so add discount din)
