Yung mga nakakausap ko naman na head hunter na nasa singapore is puro interview lang. Wala naman natutuloy eh. Kainis natetempt talaga ako pumunta dyan at magapply

mahirap ngayon sa SG sis.  tapos me issue pa na mas nakukuha ang mga expats kesa mga locals kaya nagrereklamo sila sa government nila.  pero alam ko indemand pa rin ang nasa field ng IT don.

punta ako SG this june. andun na kasi bf. try ko din lang maghanap work. sana makakuha! kinakabahan nako actually kasi starting july 1 babaan na yung quota for foreigners. but i've always wanted to work in SG, so i wouldn't know if i don't try.

kahit nasa it field na ba sis at may experience na dito sa pinas mahirap pa rin ba makahanap ng work? Yung mga friend ko kasi na it at may experience na sa pinas nakakahanap sila ng work sa sg at direct hired pa sila.

^ nagbabawas ng empleyado yung isang malaking IT co. sa SG ililipat na daw sa India ang office nila. Tapos, yung mga natanggal mula sa co. merong hindi na nakahanap ng work dito (sg).

ang mga kakilala kong matatag at hndi naman nagkakabawasan ay architect.

Lagi naman nilang issue yang mga foreigner daw kalaban ng mga local sa trabaho. Nung dumating ako ganun ang reklamo nila, hanggang ngayon ganyan pa rin. there is at least one article every 2weeks na ganitong reklamo. It never ends

As mentioned before, may ibang nagiinterview ng applicants thru skype or by phone interview, but the people I know who were lucky/ blessed enough to be hired even when they were in ph are in the industry na in demand sa sg such as it or accounting. Mas priority pa rin ng mga employers ang mga applicants na nasa sg na mismo. Try nyo lang magapply, sabi nga you'll never know unless you try

my friend and her colleague got a job recently..they were really lucky and blessed kasi less than a month pa lang silang andito nung ma-hire sila nag-start na sila this week sa work nila, im so happy for them. Both are chemical engineers, tyaga, pangkabog na experience, lakas ng loob at taimtim na dasal ang baon nila sa pagpunta nila dito

kakagaling ko lang ng SG pero for vacation lang ako. now gusto ko mag work don. kaso 3 years na ko naghahanap ng work abroad walang pumapansin sakin

I just came from Sg. nagbakasyon at nag apply. contrary sa sinasabi ng iba na madami jobs dun Oo madami nga kaso may quota sila for foreigner employees. like 5 singaporean is to 1 foreigner swerte kung may slot agad. mostly sa mga agencies dun naghihingi agad ng bayad para hanapan ka ng job. swertihan din at prayers. im waiting for my s-pass na lang sana ma approve kasi mahigpit ang Ministry of Manpower dun ngayon.

Wow sis, swerte naman ng friend mo. Parang ilang days lang ang dating. How i wish na sana ang kuya ko ma hire agad lol!

My question ako about SG jobs sana mga sisses,

Yung ate ko (Sis in law) ko nagwowork siya as Senior Events Management sa Ortigas, so 3 years na siya dun then yung boss niya he wants na i relocate si ate sa SG for hiring ata. Pero ayun iniisip tuloy ng ate ko kung mag gogo ba siya sa SG or not? :/

i will be flying there also this month to try my luck and follow bf who's already working in sg.

just be vigilant and don't ever give an impression to the Immig. officers esp. here in Pinas na maghahanap kayo ng work kasi baka di kayo patuluyin sa SG.  Just a suggestion!   malay niyo me mga Immig pala na nakakabasa ng mga thread natin, hehe....sabi kasi ng kilala ko dyan sa pinas na taga immig, nalalaman din nila sa net ano daw style ng mga naghahanap ng work sa net, hehhe...

Mga sis!
Ask ko lang, okay lang ba yung Barista INTERN sa Singapore? May offer kasi sakin ngayon yung friend ko, libre lahat.. Sagot nung company(Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf) yung airfare, meal and accommodation mo for 6 months.. yung nga lang 15k lang ang sweldo since "intern" nga. Then after 6 months, depende sa CBTL kung iaabsorb ka or balik pinas ka..
6-months Training Employment visa yung makukuha ko..
Anong opinion nyo dito mga sis?

hi sisses. im a nurse. gusto ko sana pumunta sg since andoon mother ko ngayon for work. try mag job hunting. kahit hindi hospital and as a nurse mapasukan kahit office ok lang or sales etc basta yung pwede naman long term say 3-5 years? may ma ssuggest ba kayo?

please read po talaga yung forum na ito sa pinoy sg.. super helpful talaga and i suggest you join na din sa forum and read, mas complete ang narrations dun about experiences ng mga pinoy sa jobhunting in SG.

I've heard of such Internship Programs, meron na din ako na-meet na ganyan from Giordano, Guess, Pepper Lunch, etc. Ganun nga, all in ang sagot ng company (airfare, accomodation and meals) tapos yung allowance is around $400-$500 SGD per month. If you're earning more than that right now.. I think no.

But if you're just a fresh grad, or new pa lang mag work, then i suggest you consider it. If hindi ka naman masyado magastos siguro expenses mo lang around $100 per month (pang load, shopping, gala) since meal at accomodations nga eh sagot na ng company. Plus it can be a stepping stone for you as well, for experience and an opportunity na makapagwork long term in SG.

Warning lang (sorry sis I don't know how to find another word for "Warning"), lahat ng na-mi-meet ko under sa ganyang program, i don't know kasi halos lahat parang Fresh Grads/Interns/OJT pa lang ata so hindi nila kinakaya yung Work Pressure and Strictness dito sa SG.. meron kami na-meet sa Giordano habang namimili, 19 yrs old pa lang.. halos mangiyak ngiyak nung kinausap namin ng nanay ko, ayun sobrang homesick saka sobra daw yung work hours/shifts.. I think first time niya kasi overseas tapos hindi sanay sa culture tapos bata pa.. tinanggap niya daw yun kasi malaki sweldo halos buo niya napapadala sa pinas.. 3 months lang yung OJT nila after daw nun balik siya sa pinas na.. or if iabsorb siya ng Giordano baka pagisipan niya.

Well, that's only one incident, Hindi natin masasabi if its the same for CBTL... Ikaw pa rin bahala sis, and of course carefully read the contract para you know what you're signing up for.

My friend who is in SG now was crying. Kasi regular employee na siya sa Starhub, then parang ginawa daw silang  contractual with super less benefits kasi nga daw naghigpit na ang government sa foreign workers.

@chinkee, thanks sis for your advice.. I appreciate it..    I just wonder, gaano ka-strict ba dyan sa SG? Yung tipong ipapahiya ka sa public? ganun?

In my experience, the most difficult person to work with are Singaporeans and those from HK.  I have dealt with many clients around Asia and Eurpore na pero sila talaga mahirap i-please.  Dami nilang demands.  You would be working more than your regular hours, and it would seem like you are overworked but underpaid.  Bibihira lang sa kanila ang maayos katrabaho at maayos kausap, hehe.

Not that way na pahiya in public..., as sis purple said, longer working hours, di masyado makapagchika chika while work, as in work kung work, then some bosses are really very demanding.. buti na lang boss ko steady lang.. syempre minsan minsan may mga krung krung moments ang boss, i think di naman maiiwasan yun but meron talaga as in terrorist.. yung isa ko friend na Manager sa 7-11 here.. as in may sakit siya di makapasok eh walang ta-tao dun sa store.. as in "I don't Care" si Area manager nila.. eh pwede naman siguro tumawag sa ibang store kung may mapapahiram na staff. My father naman before (hiwalay na sila ni mother), di kasi nakapasok for 1 day kasi yung nanay ko biglang ni-rush sa hospital yung boss niya fired agad siya kasi AWOL daw... though nag sorry naman siya at pinakita niya yung hospitalization docs, wala pa rin..
