I applied for solo parent id sa DSWD and I just presented barangay certificate no other proof requested na..tapos konting tanong lang and survey. after 1 month pa makukuha yung id.

sis bakit ang tagal? pinuntahan ka ba sa inyo?

matagal talaga process samin sis..hindi ko alam kung bakit..pero may mga kaofficemate din ako dito na kumuha din ng solo parent and 1 month din daw ang process sa kanila..

Just want to share my knowledge about solo parents benefits:

Solo parent with above minimum salary benefits:

1. 7 days additional Leave
2. Flexible working schedule as long as it will not affect the company.
3. non discrimination ek ek.... meaning if the company wants to promote you, being a solo mom will not hinder the company to put you into higher position.

Solo parent below minimum:

1. educational benefit not for the kid but for mom continuing study
2. housing benefits ek ek
oh well basta marami ang sa below minimum... dont want to elaborate... lols

Talaga?? nice naman! So sa dasma din kaya ako makapag apply? hehe Bacoor ako sis eh pero kakalipat ko lang 1mo palang kami dito

sis alam ko sa Bacoor ka dapat mag apply kasi need nila ng brgy certificate eh..madali lang naman kumuha sa Bacoor siguro..ask mo lang if nasa City Hall lang din [textspeak!] DSWD kasi sa dasma magkalayo sila.

Sad to say , some employees do abuse this benefit. MAy dati kaming employee panay ang leave. We have a benefit of 15 days SL and 15 days VL ,at lahat iyon ginagamit niya , then may additional 7 days pa. Then later after she resigned, her friend told us ,di naman pala talaga siya solo parent (based sa real definition) . Nasa abroad pala husband . Kasi naman kung ganoon lang pala na konting tanung tanong ,ok na. Marami nga mag aabuse at mag pretend na "solo Parent " sila.

No offense meant doon sa talagang qualified.

thats sad nga..sa company nyo ba hindi siya declared na married? sa ibang DSWD center kasi nag CI talaga sila..siguro hindi lang talaga mahigpit yung sa area nila..

Well, what she said is separated na and she has that solo parent card.

The outcome tuloy is the HR avoids hiring single parents. They are being discriminated tuloy. Of course, HR will not reason out that being a single parent is the reason for not being hired  .

Sana na lang if the company is already giving generous leave benefits like ours, hindi na applicable itong ganito. Govenrment mandated leave is only 5 days, doon siguro applicable yung plus 7 days.
Allergic na kasi mga foreign companies sa sangkatutak na leaves and holidays

sa imus ang bilis lang nakuha yung single parent id ko! after ko i-submit lahat ng requirements nakuha ko na din agad yung id. eto yung mga requirements:

birth cert of child
certificate issued by the Barangay Captain indicating the circumstances of my being a solo parent
barangay cert
COE
1x1 picture (2pcs)
affidavit of solo parent

ang laking tulong nito sa akin. so sad lang yung iba pala inaabuso ito

@snowberry: Aw grabe naman un Ako naman di mahilig sa leave hehe feeling ko kasi sayang naman eh kasama ko naman din anak ko sa work ko. My boss is too nice to let her go with me sa work since lumipat kami

sad mg sis hindi pa ata implemented ang discount sa mga milk ,diaper etc

iyon pa naman ang main reason ko getting the solo parent ID

I just got regularized kasi and my mom wants me to add her as my dependent sa Maxicare aside from my daughter. I am a single mom too. Kainis kasi covered ng HMO namin is employees lang so I have to pay pa for my daughter's coverage, etc.

The problem is, married ako so our nurse is asking me proof of being a single mom and so I think the Solo Parent ID is what they are after.

You guys gave great tips, thanks so much. I have to ask DSWD in our area ano mga requirements. Maybe I should get it sa Municipal where I got married (Las Pinas) though parang ayoko dun. Pwede kaya sa Makati nalang instead kahit sa Paranaque ako nakatira?Isa ata sa mga requirements you guys mentioned is the Declaration of nullity of marriage, gosh, I wish I could get that kaso mukang matatagalan and it will involve money.

yeah ako kahit gusto ko gawin yang annulment na yan hays wala ako pera for that and I don't want my Dad to pay for it (muna) kasi malapit na mag-school anak ko, he promised to help me with her schooling next year..need ko muna i-set priorities ko eh..di pwede bira lang ng bira, tsaka sinuswerte naman ex ko na uupo lang siya at aantayin niyang ma-annul kami samantalang ako nagkakadarapa taking care of our kid and spending for the annulment  kaya tinggal ko muna siya sa priorities ko..baby steps muna ako until makabangon ako

Question mga sissies, regardless if you have a work or not pwede mag apply? Kasi sa call center ako nagwo work eh baka mamaya nyan i-decline if i applied for one. Halos lahat kasi ng tao akala pag nasa call center ka eh napaka laki ng sueldo..

@sis momentum: yung friend ko married, but she didn't declare her husband as one of her dependents. Maxicare din ang HMO namin sa office and base sa new policy nila - if you're separated, legally or not - you have the right to chose your dependents basta ide declare mo lang s HR na hiwalay and kung ilang taon na.
