^sis mysterioza_me, talaga??!! that's good news kasi yun HR namin since bago pa lang to nagsabi siya sa officemate ko na need pa i-confirm ke SSS kasi nga this time may partner siya so technically di siya solo hehe...

good to know na pwede pa pala kasi ako nalulula sa magiging bill nya sa hospital pagpapaanakan nya eh, 150K sa Lourdes Hospital sa Sta. Mesa...eh wala siya ipon, inaasahan nya lang tong SSS at yung magiging 13th month namin this month, due nya sa December 02. Jobless din kasi yung partner nya ngayon..

hi sisses, does anyone know if pro-rated ba ang 7 days solo parent leave if hindi beginning of the year na-grant? Thank u!

^hi sis! Ang mahal naman sa Lourdes Hospital, yan ba yung sa may Kalentong? If yes, i remember nung 2015 is 50k quote sa friend ko for CS under cia ni Dra. Juanita Lee. Sino OB ng friend mo po? If nag-increase, hindi naman siguro x 200% na ngayon. Parang presyong TMC na din yan. Sorry, off-topic na yata.

^^Kung sa SSS inaalala niya, buo pa din yung 120 days. Actually if may work sana yung bf niya pwede niya pa ibigay yung 7 days sa bf niya, bale 113 days kay girl and 7 days kay bf. Ganyan kasi ginawa ng officemate ko dahil di pa eligible for paternity leave si guy kasi di pa sila kasal.


^Sis what do you mean na pro-rated? Kunwari ba ganito: June nakuha ang Solo Parent ID kung buo pa din na maeenjoy ang 7 days na Solo Parent leave or kung mababawasan na siya? Ganyan ba ibig mo sabihin? If ganyan wag ka mag-alala buo pa din yung 7 days. Maski Dec ka pa kumuha maeenjoy mo pa din yung buong 7 days bgo matapos ang taon. Tapos another 7 days uli next year.

^sis omneecka, oo yun nga kako mas mahal pa sa Chinese Gen, wala din package para mas makaless sana....kaya problematic sila sa magagastos at makakatulong if ma-avail nya un SSS na for solo parent kasi magiging 73K ata pag 120 days...

binasa kasi namin yun IRR ng SSS pero walang nakalagay about sa solo parent na nagkaron na ng partner...sinuggest ko nalang sa kanya to go directly muna sa SSS at magtanong bago kausapin yung HR namin...

Not sure sis if yan ang binasa ninyo na doc pero nasa page 5 and 11 ang sagot. Sa officemate ko kasi may Solo Parent Id siya, actually nagrenew pa siya ng SP ID Niya malaki na ang tummy niya, binigyan pa din siya. And also hino-honor ng HR ang 120 days ML niya kasi di pa siya married sa bf niya pero si bf dun na umuuwi sa kanila. Sa 120 days na leave niya, 7 dun binigay niya kay guy as per the amended law. Nakuha niya ng buo yung bayad para sa Maternity benefits niya maski nagsasama na sila ng bf niya. Last name din ni bf ang gamit ni baby. Saka ang alam ko advance na babayaran ng company ang buong Maternity Benefits - ganyan kasi sa amin.

Sis mysterioza_me, nung nakausap kasi ng officemate ko yung HR namin di pa sure si HR kung pano ang treatment sa mga solo parent na nagkaron na ng partner kaya itatanong pa daw sa SSS. Wala pa sagot til now. Eh nakaML na yung officemate ko na yun

^Hindi ba binigay ng company ninyo ng buo yung Maternity Benefits niya before siya nag-leave? Sa company kasi naman agad binibigay nila (inaabonohan na nila), normally kasi half lang ibibigay tapos yung other half pagkapanganak na. Pero base lang sa experience ng officemate ko 120 days kinwento ang benefits and leave niya maski may partner na siya.

^^sis mysterioza_me, sa company namin, a month before duedate, first half ng money, then after manganak at nasubmit na si Mat 2 documents saka icredit sa atm yung second half...nagkaron daw kasi ng experience si HR na naibigay na before giving birth yun buong money tapos ang tagal ibalik ng  employee yung Mat 2 docs kaya matagal din bago nakapagpa-reimburse si HR...

sa iba I've heard na yun nga buong check na yun binibigay bago manganak...

kurek sis...kaya naawa ako sa officemate ko as in ang laki ng need nya eh may problema pa ata sa FBS nya so mas madagdagan magiging bill nya kasi need pa daw imonitor after manganak ng blood sugar nya or kun ano man..so magiging mga 150k..kako makiusap muna sa HR na if pwede ibigay na lang muna ng buo at talagang magpromise na ibigay yung Mat 2 docs after manganak, sabi ko baka pwede yun...

Fault din ng officemate ko, kasi porke alam nyang CS siya di siya nag ingat sa weight at sa sugar intake nya. Tapos yun nga walang ipon.

^Tsk tsk ayun lang. Officemate ko din mataas ang FBS and pinagdiet din siya kasi plan niya talaga normal birth sana kaso di na kinaya kaya na-CS din. And yes 150k ang bill nila at package pa nakuha ng officemate ko yan. Ang hirap ng sitwasyon niya tapos wala pa siyang katuwang sa gastusin. Problema niya panggastos sa panganganak e paano pa yung pang-araw araw na gastusin nila ngayong naka-ML na siya lalo na wala pang work partner niya.

^Sana wag maapektuhan pag-aaral nig mga anak niya lalo na yung nagna-nursing. Ang hirap mag-aral kapag kapos sa pinansyal.

Sana yung solo parent id pwede magamit ng tulad sa senior and pwd maski para sa needs lang ng minor child.

CRITERIA FOR SUPPORT

Any solo parent whose income falls below the poverty threshold as set by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and subject to the assessment of the DSWD worker in the area shall be eligible for assistance. A solo parent can directly inquire from the following agencies to avail of their services:

Health Services (DOH)

Educational Services (CHED, TESDA)

Housing (NHA)

Parental Leave (Employer, DOLE, CSC) Note: A solo parent whose income is above the poverty threshold shall enjoy only such limited benefits as flexible work schedule, parental leave and others to be determined by the DSWD.

***** so dahil above poverty threshold tayo pang parental leave lang tayo qualified haha. Yung flexible work depende siguro sa business needs kung ia-allow ng company

ah hahaa kaya pala puro leaves lang na extra 7 days ang naririnig kong ginagamit ng mga may solo parent dito sa office hahah kasi naman di naman pala panglahatan ang benefit, pang indigent kumbaga...

^True. Ang alam ko dati nilalakad na magkaron ng discount ang milk, baby clothes and iba pang baby necessities up to 2yrs old pero ewan ano na nangyari dun.
