^ sis, in all honesty, the only benefit i'm getting from my solo parent ID is yung additional 7-days leave ko na nagagamit ko kapag may school activities ang son ko, or if I need to have him checked sa pedia nya. nagtanong na ako sa mercury and sa school nila, wala naman discount for single parents.

in fairness, mukha na talagang ID ang solo parent ID sa quezon city. i went to social services yesterday sa QC city hall. kung dati ay cardboard ang solo parent ID (na medyo malaki pa - around 5x5 inches), ngayon ID na talaga sya made of plastic and kasya na sa wallet (size is around 2x3 inches). at nakukuha na rin agad, hindi na kailangan balikan pa after a week.. good job qc city hall!  :)

Hi!

I have a question, anyone from Marikina? Kasi hindi ko alam if I need to submit yung original copy ng birth certificate or just the photocopy. I will apply pa lang, hindi ito for renewal. Long overdue.

Another thing, nung nag-submit na kayo sa company niyo na meron na kayong solo parent ID, how long did it take para mag-reflect sa system niyo yung additional leave (for solo parent)? Thanks!

^ hi sis! sagutin ko yung 2nd question mo kasi gamit ko talaga yung solo parent leaves ko sa work. sa company namin (an IT company), i just informed my manager and the HR department that I will be using my solo parent leave. kapag nagfa-file ako ng leave, I specify that the purpose of that leave is really for my son - i.e. birthday, enrollment, check up sa doctor, hospitalization, etc. tapos I attach a scanned copy of my solo parent ID dun sa email ko. when i joined my current company, aware naman kasi sila na solo parent ako. I submitted a copy of my son's birth certificate kasi dependent ko rin sya sa mga company benefits ko and gov't-mandated benefits (like philhealth). kaya madali ma-check nung HR namin na solo parent talaga ako, and madali rin ma-approve yung solo parent leaves ko. try to check sis with your manager/company (HR) how they process solo parent leaves. hope this helps.  :)

^^ Where do you get the solo parent leave benefits?  From SSS din ba yan nakukuha?

^ Sis if you're a single mom, magaapply ka sa local DSWD kung san ka nakatira. Submit the requirements then once you get your ID, give a copy to your HR then you can avail na yung 7 days leave benefits related sa needs ng kid mo, ex. graduation, doctors appointment, etc.

Backread ka nalang for other requirements ;)

Im about to renew my Solo Parent ID. I got my old Solo Parent ID in Taytay, Rizal in 2012 and never had the chance to renew it. Ngayon palang sana kaso im already residing in QC. My question is, i-treat pa kaya nila ito as renewal or new application na? Will surely appreciate your response sissies.

^sis ang pagkakaalam ko, kahit married ka on paper pero ikaw lang ang nagpprovide ng support sa bata and nowhere to be found yung spouse. Please correct me if Im wrong.

Either private or public school as long as SOLO Parent ka at may SOLO PArent ID ka.

Im planning to apply solo parent,  my questios are:

1. May background check pa ba sila if talagang separated na kayo?
2. Iinform ba yung ex partner na nag apply sya ng solo parent id./benefit

I recently renewed my Solo Parent ID.
When I was interviewed in SSDD  (Social Services Development Department) and asked if the father of my child gives monthly support, I said the truth which is yes.

Background: Hindi po kami kasal ng father ng anak ko, never kaming nagsama and though he regularly gives financial support e halos wala na rin kaming communication except sa seasonal na email.

Right then and there ang sabi ko I'm not after the whatever assistance that the government gives to solo parents all I wanted is the additional 7 days leave kasi talaga namang ang laking tulong nito lalo na't wala din naman akong yaya and parents ko ang nag-aalaga sa anak ko kapag nasa work ako.

Anyways, di ko lang magets ang point na according to them nasa batas daw na hindi considered as Solo Parent kapag nakakatanggap ng pera from the other parent.  Duh??!!?  I reviewed RA 8972 and walang  nasasaad na ganun.  I don't know if I missed anything :(

Fortunately, I managed to renew my id after kong i-declare that I don't get any financial support from the father.

Ano po ba talaga and qualifications ng Solo Parent to avail of the privileges stated in RA 8972

Nakapag apply ka na ba at this time?

2 - Not sure what you mean. No need to inform ex-partner na nag a apply ka.
3 - Nope.

Hi, Sisses!

Question, pag nag-apply ba nito as in may verification na gagawin ba ang DSWD like pupunta talaga sa address mo? The thing is, wala kasi ang baby sa bahay, nasa province for the meantime kasi wala pang mahanap na yaya dito sa Manila.

Salamat po!

^thank u sis for the above response.

Apparently, sa city namin is required na at least 1 year old ang child ng parent na mag-aapply as solo parent.

Ganyan din ba sa inyo?

Thank u! 😊😊😊

Naalala ko lang, yung officemate ko nakapag-renew pa ng Solo Parent ID maski may new bf na siya and preggy na uli siya courtesy of new bf.

mga sis, may tanong ako regarding solo parent, kasi ang isang officemate ko ay single mom with two college kids na...may solo parent ID siya at nakakaavail siya ng mga leaves dito sa office...Last year, nagkaron siya ng BF and she got pregnant ngayon, since bago na ang SSS maternity benefits, pag solo parent ka pala ay 120 days ang magiging mat leave, then based sa computation ay 73K makuha nyang benefit...ang tanong niya is pwede pa ba niya gamitin yung pagiging solo parent niya dito sa pinagbubuntis nya na to ngayon since may BF siya at magkasama pa sila...

sabi ko sa kanya baka hindi na applicable for this baby ang solo parent kasi technically di naman siya solo parent dito dahil andyan at nagsasama sila ng tatay ng baby...di pa din kasi nagrereply yun Benefits personnel namin dito sa office regarding this inquiry.

sa tingin po ninyo?
