BIRTH CERTIFICATE PROBLEM
« on: February 03, 2011, 06:19:09 pm »
My parents are not yet married when I was born, pero ginagamit ko ang surname ng father ko ever since I started schooling until now na nagta-trabaho na ko.

Hope you can help me.
Thank you in advance….

sis this is just what i heard na pag di kasal ng pinanganak ang baby tapos in the end naman magpapakasal rin naman ang parents, mag aapply sila ng legitimacy for the kids. pero ask mo din sa lawyer yung process. try to watch teleradyo or listen to dzmm kasi me libreng counseling ang mga lawyers dun.
... and the new journey begins :)

Ah ok. How much po pala nagastos mo para dun? Thank you so much po talaga.

You can make corrections on your Birth Certificate, you have to go to the civil registrar and file for that correction, then go to NSO and they will send it to Manila Court where they will examine the supporting docs of the corrections of your baby's Birth certificate. After one month you will received the corrected Birth Cert na. You'll pay less than PHP2K.

@akoposianna, maybe you can call and have the process stop at the munisipyo. Tell them you need to correct the surname before it is finalize. But if ever yung Birth Cert nya lulusot na, you can have it corrected. You have to pay for it less than PHP2K.

Punta ka sa MCR kung saan na rehistro yung baby mo but since nandyan kana sa Manila dumiretso kanalang dyan sa CRGO, and asked first if pwede bah ma correct yung Birth Cert ng baby mo sa Republic Act 9048, Corrections Entry of Birth Registry. Filing fee PHP 1000.

Kasi kung hindi pwede, kailangan court hearing yan at mas magastos than paying just 1K pesos. Baka kasi mag oppose yung papa ng bata. So kung hindi pwede yung Republic Act 9048 sa kanya, you have to have a court hearing to change the name. Walang ibang ways.

We've been thru it kasi. My mother and father's birth certificate need correcting. My mom was okay to get the Republic Act 9048, pero sa papa ko kailangan ng Court hearing. Tapos kailangan din e-correct yung Marriage Certificate nila. Daming kasing mali sa spelling and date. ::)

Good luck sis. ;)

^You can try the scan copy sis. Kung hindi pwede, you have to let them mail the authorization letter via FedEx.

@socxymom, Opo, may nakalagay na remarks sa side. ito po nakalagay, Delayed registration under Rule 20 of AD 1, s 1993 and acknowledged by <my father's name> at <place> on April 11, 2002.

Ibig sabihin po ba nyan pwede ko na magamit ang surname ng father ko and ok na Birth Certificate ko? hehe.. sorry for my ignorance..hahaha

Thanks! :)

Mga sis, ako rin. Yun kasing nanganak ako, di pa kami married so ayun nga hindi legitimate anak ko. After a month nagpakasal na kami ni hubby. So inayos namin sa LCR.

Ano kaya? TIA
