Consumer rights!
« on: March 05, 2010, 03:04:49 pm »
I just noticed how compared to other countries, ang pangit ng consumer rights dito. How many times have you complained about a product and gotten results?

My worst experience is with globe. their services have been super crap lately and i called them a million times, emailed over and over, etc. tapos di nila naayos any of my problems! i havce a globe line + blackberry plan + globe tattoo. lahat palpak! ang loyal ko pa naman. para sa wala!

stories anyone?
i also found this site, ang sarap lang i share.

You will not get any attention, even if you write DTI and that big house by Pasig River. What works is if you get your complaint across a columnist who will take up the cudgels for you.   Yan lang ang alam nila pansinin.

As for GLOBE -- I have a pending complaint.  My texts hit P8thou which is very unreasonable.  Outright they offered to deduct 25% from my billing for texts... I said you gotta be kidding.  My sec has called several times... it is okay to call before writing coz everything is logged/recorded.  If they cut my postpaid or insist on that bill....  aba, magcuento ako sa isang kulit kulit columnist.   I am sure there areother GLOBE complaints... impossible sa akin lang nangyari ang overbilling for last month.  A computer glitch or what -- program glitch or what -- human error, basta GLOBE complainants should make loud reklamo.

maybe you can send a letter to the head of customer service, cc the CEO.

dati I had a problem with a real estate company.  it came to a point na I think ayaw na nila tanggapin calls ko since I'm so kulit with my questions.  everytime that I'll call wala lahat yung mga tao na kausap ko.  so I wrote, cc the CEO, had the letter couriered.  my problem was fixed the day my letter was delivered =D

have had TONS of problems with globe--

we were one of the few who earlier subcribed to Speak n Surf Wireless, and just 6 months of usage, the wireless phone broke down...problem we've assumed was the battery. We've called for technical service, still 6 months after constant follow ups, no one came..but the billings still consistent came.

i've emailed globe (including their CEOs), went to globe offices, and called them up for complains..with no avail. Yup, even reported to DTI. nada.

never made anymore payments...we've never used it since then..now may legal letter na kami. still not paying.

-------

also had problems with the internet browsing...as it turns out (and globe never corrects this system), naka AUTO KBS charging siya...my uncle reached P10k because of this. we've complained about it, and they're offering at 50% less discount.  kikita pa sila, still either way. must a globe scheme to profit more from consumers.

hello sisters!

Im a marketing major, talagang hindi solid ang consumer rights sa country natin. Add mo pa the ignorance of the company employees sa consumer rights, basta to protect the welfare of the company pagtatanggol nila by all means na sila tama; kasi naman the company may even charge them for returns or whatevers.

Pag mag reklamo ka naman, hindi rin nabibigyan ng proper attention, they take it as a simple small matter, pag nagkalagayan mas kawawa pa ang mga consumers.

so whats the solution? wise buying! research and research before buying a product or service :) wag masyado impulsive. marketers would do everything to make a sale, don't believe every promotional word!

Globe has the worst customer service ever. Whenever there are issues with the network, their line just goes dead kahit pa you call them using landline.
Whatever I want, I get. If I can't, I don't stop TRYING.

I have a pending refund from living social ensogo ph! Isa pang bwisit yan. I bought a deal last nov tapos, walang dumating na voucher. I've followed up several times, tapos after 2weeks they told me the deal has closed! Tapos ibili ko na lang daw ng ibang deals sa kanila yung money ko kasi it will take 5-8 working days daw pag refund at ideposit back sa bank ko. I asked the guy I talked to (Ken Santiago) na if he were in my shoes would he buy again? He answered "no, ma'm! Fast forward ngayon after several emails again,  2mos after na wala pa refund ko, to think it's only php1500. Will file a complaint sa dti. I doubt that they will take action pero try na rin.
It's not just the money lang eh, parang sumosobra na kasi ang ensogo, sobrang daming nagko-complain sa customer service nila...
