Title: Essential Oils
Post by: chiqmom on May 06, 2016, 04:17:10 pm
Who are into essential oils?

Lately, I've been into collecting these oils. Let's talk about our love for these oils. Let's also share blends and recipes.

wow may replies na! so glad I've found people who loves EO.

I used both pure EO and yung fragrances. For pure EO kasi are are able to reap their benefits, like I use them a lot to cure my kid's allergies, relieve stress, deal with flu, etc. Sa fragrances, usually ginagamit ko sa car.

my fave scent lately is a combi of peppermint and lime, it perks up my mood.

also, trying to diffuse thieves oil lately para iwas flu. so far, so good. been down last week because of a terrible flu and thank God, hindi nahawa yung mga bata. siguro yung constant na pagddiffuse ng thieves.

Count me in, I love essential oils!

I usually buy them my essential oils sa SM, Scents for Senses, Cash and Carry.

^i also love eucalyptus. try mo combine sya sis sa peppermint parang mentos ang dating.hehe

lately ginagamit ko lemon eo na lang to clean our room. sinasabay ko sya sa mop. the room smells good! i read na okay ang lemon pang linis. one time ginamit ko din lavender as linen spray.

Hi guys!

I ordered new scents:

the spa signature for the oil burner
fresh bamboo for the air revitalizer (water based)

including shipping, it was like 500 bucks or 550..

since i found this seller on olx, i didn't buy from mia maison na hehe

Thank you chiqmom!

Yung poo-pourri or eau de loo parfum kung i-market nila, which can be done at home simply by mixing EOs with water and spritzing at least 2-3 sprays directly sa toilet bowl before doing number 2 and then flush agad.  Wala ngang amoy -- ni-roadtest ni hubby for two days na!

Nabasa ko na this is more effective in masking odors than spritzing the concoction into the air after doing the deed.

Count me in!  :D

I'm obsessed with lavender and green tea, I use it both in the diffuser and oil burner. When I want to clean the air after cooking (we live in a condo kase), I burn lemon and ginger. You can try blending ginger with everything, it enhances the scent.

Where do you usually get EOs? I like Oryspa's but very limited ang stalls nila.

Count me in!

I get my oils from Plant Therapy. Kakaaddict mag hoard! I have a lot of blends already. I diffuse mostly to combat colds and cough, boost immunity, and help us sleep better.

Favorite ng anak ko lavender and roman chamomile combi.  Tulog kagad and mas mahimbing tulog nya.

I also use lavender and tea tree as roll on when we have insect bites. Mabilis mawala and di masyado nagiiwan ng dark spots.

Love EOs!

I got mine from Amazon called Leelbox, 100mL for only $19.99CAD on sale. The unit stopped working after the first night. I was gonna return it but the seller decided to send a replacement unit instead of a refund and said they don't need the defective unit. Tapos biglang gumana. So, I have two now. I like it because it's small enough to be used in the office. Just use the high quality essential oil to get the most benefit out of your diffuser.

I bought Lavender Kashmir, Tea Tree, Helichrysum oils from Aroma Tierra online. Mabango at ang fresh ng scent nilang tatlo and my favorite is still the lavender one. Still looking for other brands here in Dubai.

I love eucalyptus, refreshing and relaxing para sakin. Combination minsan ng eucalyptus and peppermint is amazing too. Lavender also, always a favorite. I read that a diffuser is best to get the full benefit of the oils because  diffusers give you the EO's in their pure form. A burner kasi nagiiba daw yung molecular structure ng oils because of the heat, thus ang pinaka benefit lang nya is yung scent.

Hello.... I just want to ask about oil diffuser. If kaya nya ifade ang amoy ex. sa kitchen un after magluto maamoy sa kitchen we have exhaust fan but not enough na totally mawala un amoy ng niluto. So naiisip nya bumili ng oil diffuser pang alternative. I just wondering if it is effective. TIA sa mga sasagot.

Post by: kvan on December 01, 2017, 11:03:28 pm
^I use a 100mL diffuser and it does make my dining and kitchen area smell fresh. But then I don't have any issue naman sa amoy ng niluluto ko. You can try putting baking soda or coal to absorb the smell. Try mo yung pang-fridge na Arm and Hammer and put it your kitchen area.
Title: Re: Essential Oils
Post by: kvan on December 02, 2017, 02:33:23 am
^Everything in moderation. It's not advisable to put too much oil and use it on long period of time. For the smallest 100mL diffuser, I read that 3-5 drops is recommended.

Post by: Shadow Angel on December 02, 2017, 03:37:13 am
Thank you mga sisses.

Hi everyone, I have tried Young Living essential oils referred to me by my friend and sobrang okay talaga. It's 100% pure and therapeutic grade. When I had a headache timing kakadating [textspeak!] nung starter kit ko, tinry ko mg.diffuse and after a while nawala [textspeak!] headache ko. Promise! I don't know if it's just on my mind or what pero promise I didn't took a med.. un lang talaga ngdiffuse ako ng EO oils. Kaya para sakin super effective talaga sya. Kaya highly recommended ko talaga sya. If you are interested by the way, you may check this FB page: https://www.facebook.com/younglivingphl/ Hope I helped  :)

Sis, are you based in the Philippines? If yes, safe ba pa ship ng Plant Therapy directly dito? They're using USPS lang eh, no option for DHL/FedEx, etc.

Yung ibang reco:
- EO sa plug-in air freshener device
- water and EO sa oil burner
- water and EO sa reed diffuser

safe ba pa ship ng Plant Therapy directly dito? They're using USPS lang eh, no option for DHL/FedEx, etc.

I have been obsessed with my diffuser ever since I got it. My oils are mostly from MUJI, except for my lemongrass one which I got from Phutawan (Thai brand) :) I hope MUJI sells the large diffuser also. Kaya lang the bigger the diffuser, the more drops of oil needed. Medyo magastos din since I use it everyday. The MUJI SA mentioned that they will be selling a travel diffuser soon. I will definitely purchase this one so I can take it with me to the office.

I have an unbranded humidifier/diffuser which I got from Lazada. Happy ako so far kasi ang lakas ng buga nya hehe. I have tangerine and citronella EOs from Aura Cacia. Hindi ko type masyado yung tangerine. I'm eyeing lavender and peppermint on my next purchase.

How long do you diffuse EOs? May nabasa ako dapat daw 30 minutes lang?
Title: Re: Essential Oils
Post by: kvan on April 09, 2018, 10:19:38 pm
^Maikli yata ang 30 minutes. Kasi yung 100ml na diffuser ko can last from 10pm hanggang umaga. Basta lang daw hindi 24 hours, otherwise you don't get the full benefits of the oil. Kumbaga immune na yung system mo because of too much exposure.
Title: Re: Essential Oils
Post by: beauty_addict on April 09, 2018, 11:37:22 pm
I have been using EO, well actually frankincense Lang before, since 2015. Pero last year became more interested because I was pregnant and I don't want to expose myself to harmful chemicals. We had an ant problem and I don't want to use pesticides. From there derederetso na.

I use petal diffuser from doterra. I used the one from Mia Maison before pero nung nagka promo yung petal diffuser I took advantage and bought na.

I love my eos but as much as I want to use it daily and all the time, it's really not advisable.

When diffusing try not to diffuse continuously for more than 5 days. Take a break and switch up your oils :)

Also, most of the time, less is more than enough to get  full therapeutic value of the eos.

my pure EOs are from Giga, v&m naturals, and Beryl. Last night I discovered EOs from Naoe and pure essentials sa vertis north. Ang saya! for me kasi giga is not that good medyo iba amoy niya feel ko may halo na yun. Peppermint from v&m is my fave, okay eos ni v&m pero konti lang kasi variants nila.

Yung lemongrass parang nasa The Spa lang ako hehe. Actually I havent bought any EO yet. Pinagiisipan ko kung bibili na lang ba ko ng cheaper EO or not. Medyo pricey din pala yung MUJI and DoTerra EO though.

EO user din here. I love diffusing them. Been using lavander for relaxation, lemon and thieves for air cleaning, frankincense or eucalyptus pag masama pakiramdam ko. I buy Plant Therapy from Shopee, it's a good quality oil din. Similar to Young Living, pag pinatak mo sa bond paper it won't leave a mark. Mas mura pa. But lately I am fascinated with this diffuser from YL, so naka pending pa order ko sa kanila since out of stock daw yung item.

No sis.  May option dun na pwede once in a year ka lang bibili to retain membership. Kasi membership entitles you to discounted purchases. Yung may mga monthly required purchase, sila yung may additional incentive.
