I tried this na, effective naman. I have allergies kasi, kunting init lang rashes na. Tapos pag umaga, sinisipon bigla. Or minsan for no reason, bigla ako magkakaroon ng red dots on my legs and arms. So nag acupuncture ako, for 3 months, once or 2x a week. Masnacontrol naman for at least one year.

I haven't personally tried this. But I know someone who
swears by this...

And to him he says its painless...

I've read articles about this and effective naman daw.

Oo nga pala... that guy also had their dog undergo
accupuncture...

"You can't fool a dog. If he feels pain, he feels pain."

And the dogs' treatment went out well and it removed
his problem almost instantly.

I have tried na magpa acupuncture. makakaramdam ka ng kuryente in every needle na itutusok sayo pero super relaxing as in nakatulog ako tapos pagkagising ko sarapsa pakiramdam. tapos nawala na [textspeak!] shoulder pain ko dahil sa pagbabad sa computer. ;D

Post by: CityHunter on October 24, 2010, 09:37:54 pm
Yup, totoo that the local Commie rebels have specialists who do acupuncture kasi tinuruan sila ng mga ChiCom as walang doctor sa bundok.  Yun late guru ng wife ko was most probably one pero hindi umamin.  Sayang at hanggang basic lang yun napag-aralan ng wife ko though and yun ibang students - not being biased ha - ay hindi ko pwede i-refer.

It depends on the skill ng healer and make sure brand new needles gamit sa iyo or bring your own.  Mura lang yan sa Ongpin.

No idea how much those costs as we don't offer that pero sa mga takot sa needles acupressure does the same job.  Well, sana mahusay yun makuha ninyo not the ordinary ones lang like sa Quiapo.  Hanapin ninyo yun TESDA certified as alam nila ilang secrets which most commercial ones don't know.

Mukhang napaisip tuloy if I should instead focus back on qigong massage pero OT na at I doubt I'd be able to polish my skills on that anytime soon.

Me and hubby tried it thrice na. My aunt's friend kasi practices abroad so when she came for a visit she encouraged us to try. Both of us tried it kase it helps daw for TTC. Wala naman effect sa amin at di pa ako napreggy. Pero siguro kase kulang sa session?
I find it painful sa ears.
Title: Re: Acupuncture
Post by: mellow_moon on November 04, 2010, 01:05:00 pm
I've tried acupuncture already primarily because I had polycystic ovary syndrome and carpal tunnel syndrome. Plus I have lower back pains. I underwent around 10 sessions. At first, I just tried it out to appease my mom because she recommended it but after a while I found it therapeutic and relaxing. It also helped lessen my menstrual cramps.

It's not a replacement for consulting a doctor though. It's still best to visit a doctor before you do acupuncture (or any alternative treatments) because the acupuncturist usually asks for you medical background too.  :)

But acupuncture is definitely worth a try.

and yes a lot of them were trained in china...and they ARE very good.

like other sisses here, pcos patient ako. sa kakukulit ng mom ko, i tried to correct it few years ago. 3yrs din akong under meds and palipat-lipat ng OB. pero yung last OB ko sabi niya problemahin ko na lang daw if mag-be-baby nako. which i totally agree.
now, our wedding is this december na so i should be prepared my body na din.

Oo nga pala sis, wala syang clinic ng weekends I forgot to mention that.  But it's worth the trip kasi hindi nya minamadali ang sessions at fixed rate pa.

I absolutely love acupuncture, as in [textspeak!] mga lamig lamig etc sa likod dati pinamamasahe ko [textspeak!] parin gumagana, sa doctor naman eh sige gamot pain killer, kawawa liver ko, pero nung nag pa acupunture nako, as in one session, removed my right shoulder pain, as in its was a chronic pain since HS pako, btw I am 21 now, [textspeak!] tipong dahil ata sa pag bibitbit ng shoulder bag tapos pag bad posture eh its very sharp pero after 1 session [textspeak!] na, never na bumalik, I had also carpal tunnel, may electricity nung nilagay nya sa had ko [textspeak!] needle pero ndi nman super sakit, ndi narin bumalik, ang sana na maaus nya is un tinnitus ko, sabi ng healer eh ndi naman makukuha [textspeak!] sa isang session at shempre mag exercise daw ako wag lagi upo ng upo, higa ng higa etc so bale balik pako kung may time.

Tried this before kasi daming need ayusin sa body ko. Irregular mens, myoma, migraine, allergies, and seizure. Kaso naka-2 sessions lang ako. Nung first session, inabot ng more than 1 hour! Tinadtad kasi ng needles yung head ko, arms, back, tighs, legs, and feet kasi nga andaming need ayusin sa body ko. Masakit sya, lalo na sa back area, sa arms, legs, and feet. Nakukuryente na parang hinihila yung veins mo. After ng session parang binugbog yung feeling ko. Sabi ng doctor sa next sessions hindi na daw masakit, so bumalik ako after a week. Hala, masakit pa din! Di ko sya ma-tolerate talaga, so hindi na ko bumalik for my 3rd session.
Title: Re: Acupuncture
Post by: Inggay on March 26, 2011, 05:38:03 am

One session palang, so I can't really say kung effective pero babalik ako for sure. May appointment na ako for ventusa this Friday din. He didn't want to do ventusa kagad kasi sabi nya he wants to know how I react first to acupuncture.

Ang mas mafefeel mo, is the effect of the needle. Bibigat yung limbs mo talaga, at mafefeel mo yung sensation na may rush of blood inside your body. I can't explain it. It's not painful per se, but you do feel something's happening to your body. :)

Bale I paid 750 for the consultation, plus 200 for the needles kasi si doc used 20 needles (at P10 each). Yung first 10, I was lying on my back tapos may 5 needles on my right arm to my right leg, and  5 needles on my left arm all the way to my left leg. I was just wearing my regular clothes, hindi naman kelangan magpalit. After 15 minutes, pinahiga nya ako on my stomach, and used another 10 needles. This time I was wearing hospital gown (with my jeans) so he can insert needles on my back. I went for my back pain kasi e, so siguro kaya need nya to put needles on my back. I don't know how it is if you're going there for migraine, or insomnia or whatever. Baka no need to change to a hospital gown.

I recommend it guys. I'll be back this friday, and I'll update you guys again. :)

^thanks sis, now i know hindi naman pala sobrang masakit yung tusok ng karayom. feeling ko kasi maiiyak ako sa sakit kapag nilagay na ang mga karayom, baka kasi malalim yung tusok. anyway, i'll try this kapag nagkatime ako, as of now kasi dami pa ginagawa sa work eh...

I have an acupuncturist in Antipolo, near Blue mountains. I heard mga Vip and mga artista pa ibang clients nila. 600-800 yung rates nila mga 1hour yung session. 2-6 needles- electro acupuncture siya kaya mejo masakit at first pero eventually okay naman. after treatment, masarap ang tulog:)  :)

Hello po, pa join. Last year I was under stress so ang daming symptoms nararamdaman ko. I was referred to INAM, along Malakas st. QC. Eto website nila: http://integratibmedisin.org/?page_id=82
Mga doctors ang tumitingin dun. before the session they will give you blood work up. First session was 600. Tapos succeeding 300.

laser accu follows the same principles as traditional chinese accupuncture pero ang technology ay french yata. at dahil same principles, expect na the doc will insist in some changes to your diet. para talagang gagaling.

Sa mga taga south, try L.A. acupuncture, um it's on the building infront of Festival Mall, 2 buildings away from Asian Hospital by foot. The acupuncturist is a korean named Dr. Lee.

I happened to go pass by there while walking from Asian Hospital. I had stress and it caused me to have frequent urination at night, hand sweating, nervousness and palpitation. I just came from having my blood work read from Asian Hospital so I was walking aimlessly when there I saw his clinic then I had the acupuncture treatment.

It's not painful promise and it made me feel better. The sweating on my hands are gone and I don't get up at night too often to pee anymore. This was last May 2012 and I've had 3 visits since. The rest are just for stress and general well being then my last visit was for my shoulder and neck pain. He's also a chiropractor and he aligned my spine and it feels good now. :)

The acupuncture treatment costs 500php, then the chiropractic treatment is less than that (I forgot sorry!!)

the one on the ears were pretty cool and seems effective. the ones on the lower back are ticklish! couldn't keep still at all!

t'was a pretty cool experience but would i try it again? given the price i have to pay for it with minimal difference to how i felt after the session, i'd probably go for massages instead.

nawala naman ang lower back pain ko but still unsure though kung dahil sa acupunture kaya nawala or because nag papa PT ako sa POI.

Hello. I just want to share our experience at LA acupunture in Alabang. I went there for the treatment of back pains and for my girlfriend's Tmj pains. The procedure i would say is very good, the korean doctor is really good. The only problem is that he is manyak! My girlfriend's problem is on her face and jaw and that is where the needles were placed. But after the procedure and some massages on the face and her head, the doctor's hand went into her chest and the pelvic area! Barely touching her privates. What the heck does that do with tmj?! She even heard him say something like "you know why your body is hot? Its because.." his voice is difficult to understand and has that koreano-english accent. Just a warning for you girls out there.

Eeew. Clipper, dapat sinuntok mo yung koreano nang maturuan. NGO siya and nagbibigay sila ng mga seminars and training so it's very very reputable. Girl yung acupuncturist and dapat babalik ako for another session for a reflexology massage and another session for the acupuncture to cure my insomnia.

i was able to have my 1st session 2 saturdays ago.. well, knockdown ako when some of the needles was placed on my head.. kahit pigilin ko grabe nakatulog ako..

hindi ako nakabalik last saturday kasi me activity sa office.. this saturday baka balik ako ulit.. i paid initially 1k for the consultation, needles, etc.. pagbalik ko the 600 plus sterilization fee of 40 ata yun na lang babayaran ko.. i was given a set of supplements kaso hindi ko pa nabibili kasi no budget pa..

naloka ako sa diet na binigay to help me sa pco ko at endometrial hyperplasia.. dami bawal.. water at fresh juice from veggies or fruit lang pwede.. at me specific meat types, veggies and meat na bawal.. chicken was a no no kasi daw me hormones (i never knew that)..

initial investment na ginawa ko was to buy a juicer para pag start ng diet wala ako problem na.. i got a made from china jack lalanne juicer..

i tried the cucumber, carrot and apple juice combination na recommended nila na breakfast juice..

the acupuncture clinic is in gen lim street (if i remember correctly)  in evangelista, bangkal..

I don't think Dr. Lee is maniac naman, even though tmj yung ailment ng gf mo eh he needs to poke some nerves on other parts of the body. For my uti he placed accupuncture needles on my legs pero since alam ko connected ang mga nerves na yan eh go he's the expert eh. I've been going there so many times na, I've had needles placed in between my chest, he didn't touch my chest naman pero it's for my highblood so no big deal. I'm a C cup, and I go there wearing shorts by myself and wala nothing foul happens to me there.

I just had my first accupuncture session last tuesday with dr. Raoul siasoco. Wala pang seen results 'cause one session pa lang naman but I am planning to go back. I am currently 5 months pregnant and parang gusto ko lumipat sa kanya as my ob na din. My complaints are bachaches, migraine, rhinitis and myrecnt cough and colds.

Mukhang magkakasundo kami kasi he is into organics. Target niya for me is my diet to be composed of 50% fruits and veggies. He wants me to do juicing, not as meal replacement ha, since preggy ako but as source of vitamins and minerals.

For my friend who wants to be pregnant, he is advising her to go up to 70-80% ang composition ng diet nya on greens and fruits, supplement ang accupuncture session.

Tried LA acupuncture in Alabang to boost my fertility and para hindi muna bumalik endometriosis ko. Ok naman I'm not sure if this is because of acupuncture pero once nag spotting ako and it happened before my ovulation (so definitely not implantation bleeding) feeling ko, mga chocolate cyst na di completely na remove during my operation..feeling ko lang naman :) session costs 700 na with consultation and moxibustion. I'll go back this cycle.

Kamusta na yung acupuncture session mo? Nakatulong ba sa fertility? Ang mura ng cost nya ha to think may moxibustion pa. Currently into acupuncture and the cost for acupuncture with moxibustion and heat lamp yata yun is P2900 with herbal tea. :)

I used to have acupuncture sa panay kay sister regina, i think around 1400-1600 per treatment kasama na moxi with lamp saka yung ear bleeding ko for my acne prob. But now i found dra edessa chan near pinaglabanan around 1200 for acupuncture with the lamp pero no moxibustion. She has promos na with discount if you pay in advance for 6 sessions. I think 800 yung basic acupuncture nya and she offers cosmetic acupuncture and ear acupuncture. She has recommended me ear beads that helped me overcome my softdrink addiction. Before as in i CANNOT let a day pass by without having my pepsi. Because of the ear beads i don't crave it anymore :)

I'm considering getting acupuncture for the very first time. Pero natatakot ako kasi needles yun di ba? Masakit ba?! Pasensya na, newbie kasi. I'm really scared baka masakit.

Kaya ko lang naisip ang acupuncture is because hindi nawawala yung stiffness sa upper back ko. Nung una, i tried idaan sa Ponstan. Nung hindi pa rin nawala after several days, the office nurse suggested na maglagay ako ng hot compress. Wala pa rin.

Iniisip ko, ano ba to, overfatigue? Overstressed? Overworked? I dunno. Any recommended acupuncture clinics sa Makati? Di naman siguro ako tatagain sa presyo? I'm not planning to do this as a lifestyle. Gusto ko lang i-try baka for some reason eh mawala na tong sakit sa likod ko.

^since acupuncture uses needles, it is very risky so i suggest you go to a credible institution. Go to Medical City's Center for Wellness. MD pa ang acupuncturist pag sa hospital ka pumunta instead of the scattered what-have-you clinics here and there.

Umiinom na nga ako ng supplement to improve my sleeping habit pero ganun pa rin.
so naisip ko magpa-acupunture, my 3rd session is this coming sat again.

May napapansin naman akong improvement
hope magtuloy-tuloy na.

I have hives on my body for four months na. Right now I'm drinking cetirizine everyday otherwise buong araw at gabi akong mangagati.

Usually ba how many sessions bago makita kung effective? Is it really true na depende din sa place kung san nagpapaacupuncture kung effective or not? TIA!

Hi sisters!

I am a call center agent, working like 9 hours everyday, honestly sobrang stressful sa work plus I having severe back and shoulder pain, so I decided to try acupuncture at InBody Alternative Medicine Clinic  located sa Mother Ignacia Quezon City.

The acupuncture was not painful for me, nakatulog pa nga ako habang nakatusok yung mga needles sa back ko, very relaxing..  I will be having my 4th session next week, and I can say na effective talaga..
And also the Doctor and staffs are professional and so friendly..  :)

Hello honeybunny!

I paid only 500 pesos that is their promo, for acupuncture plus cupping kasama na rin yung Doctor's consultation, i think around 20 needles ginamit sakin, good thing they don't charge the needles, I had needles on my shoulder, back and stomach. Actually I was confused why he put needles on my stomach, so I asked why? Sabi ng doctor not necessarily kung saan yung may pain doon lang tinutusok ang mga needles, kasi what is inside our body is all connected and it depends din daw sa condition ng pain..

Thanks..

I tried acupuncture today with Dr. Philip Tan-Gatue. Ang complaints ko ay back and shoulder pains from carrying too much. Tinusukan niya muna ako sa arms and legs for warmup then binalikan niya after 20-30 mins then tsaka niya ko tinusukan sa likuran and shoulders. Mga 1 hour ako andun, nakatulog ako haha I have my next session again.

Iba yung feeling niya!

Sisses if you want to curb your appetite and cravings ask nyo about ear acupuncture, it works wonders talaga! :)

I have diabetes and chronic lumbar back pains. Ive been in and out ER for the last year. I am on medication for both condition. Ive had more than 20 sessions of physical therapy pero paminsan minsan, umaatake pa rin yung lumbar strain ko at naghahypoglycemia and hyperglycemia pa rin ako. My mom adv me to go to LIVING LIFE WELL CLINIC in megamall and talked to Dr. Miguel Vergara. He does Acupuncture and weight loss management. And I must say, he's really good not to mention, very charming and caring doctor. you can search for him sa google. Ive had 3 sessions already and I havent been to the ER lately compared to when I had a total of 6 visits to the ER at the first quarter pa lang yun ng taon last year. My meds for diabetes binabaan na yung dosage tapos my meds for my lumbar strain, tinitake ko na lang as needed. Also, wala nakung cravings masyado for food. Pls try. I really recommend it. It does wonders. Boring kase 30 mins ka lang nakahiga while nakaturok sayo yung needles pero after ng session parang andaming energy, aprang am stronger and healthier. it's different. Am happy. =)

Hi! Would love to know if nawala dahil sa acupuncture o baka may marecommend ka na ibang gamot?

Hi!

Sorry sa late reply, when I have my MRI result, have tendonitis right shoulder, doctor discouraged me muna ipagalaw sa iba, accupuncture.  I had HILT high intensity laser therapy done at Delos Santos Hospital, 4 sessions, nakaka 3 nako and I'm seeing good result naman. It's a 15 minute therapy lang, bale machine tapos parang hair dryer then ilalapat sa area na masakit, heat lang mararamdaman then tapos na. Then need ng PT.  Pero I will change Rehab Doctor once matapos ang HILT. He doesnt listen na, kaya I will change rehab doc na don mismo sa Delos Santos nag clinic.
