Title: Floor Tiles
Post by: zira on September 02, 2013, 10:22:59 am
Hi Girls,

any suggestion about floor tiles? where to buy na makakamura and good quality. madami akong nakita na china pero may nabasa ako na mas ok yung made in spain but according to the salesperson from different stores nasa pagiinstall naman daw yun so kahit made in spain pa kung hindi maayos yung installation madali din masira.

also, for living room ano ba ang mas ok yung polished or yung matte?

your opinions will be highly appreciated.

Meron ding granite in which mas tumatagal ang quality. We tried Wilcon and CW Home Depot and mas madaming options aa CW. We chose glossy tiles sa living room oasi maganda siya pag may small lights ka sa ceiling dahil magba-bounce back yung lighting sa floor. I mean mas reflective yung light sa f floor mas maliwanag ang dating. Around P140.00 each, 60x60 na size niya.

^ thanks sis! we will check CW home depot. tama ka konti nga sa Wilcon.

Hi!

We used Eurotiles floor tiles for our veranda, living room and kitchen. More than 10 years na sya nakakabit at hindi nagfefade yung kulay. Very worth it at mura pa kasi locally made.

Mga sis? Ano magandang tiles for bedrooms? All our bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor. Granite or wood vinyl tiles?

I also wanted to change our white floor tiles to wooden ceramic tiles, medyo luma na kasi ang white at madami ng gasgas. I checked Wilcon marami silang nice pieces for different house themes.

All I can say is --  you get what you pay for since flooring options are price-competitive.
IMO, spend well on flooring kasi mahirap magbakbak.

I don't recommend tiles for bedrooms -- cold & noisy.

update lang mga sis. we are done with changing of tiles. white pinili namin and sa floor center kami bumili. they gave us 5% discount. sa wilcon kasi they dont give discounts if the amount is below 100k. pakyawan kinuha namin for labor since mas mura... mga 2 weeks din inabot kasi mahirap daw bakbakin kasi lumang tiles pa yung dating nakakabit.

I agree with sis aquacharly.

They say yung mga made in italy/spain yung mga magagandang klase ng granite tiles?

^ i agree sis, good quality nga ang mga made in spain pero pricey din but it also depends sa pagkabit so better make sure na magaling yung magkakabit ng tiles niyo sa house.

Yes, sis, pwede. Papatong lang nila and tataas bale yung sahig mo.

ang hirap pala mamili ng tiles, nakakahilo sa sobrang dami..we decided to get the fino brand na 60 x 60 for the 1st and 2nd floors, 189 pesos each...parang mura na, but nung nagcompute kami, umabot din ng 28k for the 1st floor pa lang, excluding cement/grout and labor cost pa yan...ang gastos pala  :'( for the rooms naman, the tiles cost around 150 each, fino din ata...grabe napakagastos talaga magpagawa ng bahay :o

RE: VINYL Tiles

^depende kase sa floor area and preference mo. But for our 20sqm living room, we got 60x60 tiles mas maganda tignan.

Nakakalaki tignan ng space ang large tiles and halos same price naman sila of per sq ft mo compute. Kaya I went din with 60x60 tiles. Yung larger than that talaga yung mas mahal na.

hi mga sis!

I am planning to change our floor tiles to granite na kasi yung original na nakalagay from our developer is sobrang hindi maganda and not glossy so madumi tingnan at hindi maganda ang pagkabit.hayyy! anyway,  I am considering kahit china made since medyo affordable pa siya compared to others. okay ba quality ng china made granite tiles? also, how much usually charge if magpapakabit ng tiles ngayon? wala akong idea e baka pagnagtanong ako sa carpenter baka dayain ako. thanks in advance!

Hi sis, pwedeng per day or ikontrata yung labor... Kaso mas mahal pag kontrata.. Last time nagpapalit kami ng tiles, 400 per day, pero iisa lang syang gumawa, 5 days...

As for the labor for tiles settings - I think minimum would be 500 a day, problem mo would be if arawan siya and how big the area would be, kase baka lalo kang mapamahal. Unless, you would agree on a specific end-date.

So I opted to get the "pakyawan" - sort of getting a specific contract price for it. (e.g. 20,000Php for 1 week on a 20sqm), but we asked around cause the 20k quote provided by the contractor was too high for me considering they just had to remove the vinyl floorings and set the new tiles.

if you are near Silang Cavite I suggest buy kayo sa Eurotiles factory. may class A B and C. ok na din kahit class B and C buy nyo. yung gilid lang naman yun may problema like hindi masyado pantay pero di naman masyado obvious. nag si sale din dila kaya mura bumili sa kanila

^^ Our guest toilet is very small and I don't want it to feel small. I decided to re-tile it with bigger tiles. Naka-sale sya so I got it for P60+ lang per tile.

Hi! though this thread started 4 years ago would still like to update you on what I've found. Currently, Floor Center is having year-end sale on their tiles, all ceramics by the way so be sure to head on one of their branches since they are all over the Philippines or check it out on their site at floorcenter.com (http://"https://www.floorcenter.com/"). Be sure to give them a visit and find the best floor tiles for your home at affordable prices.

Hello! I'm new here in this thread. Would anyone know how much pag granite? First timer kaya medyo wala talaga ako alam sa ganyan. =)

Sharing lang what little I know sa current.  Sa granite mayroon yun synthetic and natural.  Natural would be the real stuff but expensive.  Problem rin ay if you locate what you like its best may budget ka else pagbalik mo maaring wala na.  Yun big tile place sa tapat ng SM Centerpoint you need to wait pa kung may stock pa sila or not.

Mas mura though ang prices nila doon sa nasabing tile store sa tapat ng SM Centerpoint but yun nga you need to wait pa a week or so for your order if any are in stock.  Mas mura siya than sa Wilcon for sure.

Yes, I am also interested in the prices of finishing materials. My husband and I want to update the renovation in the bathroom and hall. The situation is that recently we came home and noticed that the entire floor is in water. Unfortunately, our insurance did not take into account the flood due to old pipes. The damage was assessed by first-grade water damage restoration (https://majestic flood damage restoration.com.au/carpet-drying-ballan/). We called in the professionals, and they were able to dry everything out. But the bathroom and the hallway still don't look perfect now. We want to paint the walls and change the tiles in the bathroom and laminate flooring in the hall. I hope it won't cost us too much and we won't have to take another loan.
