Hi all  :) June 2020 bride here! We are eyeing 06.20.2020 in Boracay!
I'm already in talks with the hotel we prefer and once we sign the contract, go na din kami sa Photographer, Videographer and Coordinator.. hehe all waiting na lang sa confirmation ng date and venue :D

Did you get June 20, 2020? We have the same date if yes! Perfect date because ang ganda ng numbers and it's on a Saturday as well :) But our is not a destination wedding so sa Manila lang kami  ;D Hope you get the date and venue!

also, do you have recos for a good emcee? yung funny and magaling mag engage sa guests and syempre yung pasok sa budget

We got Ms. Ayie for our host, as an add-on because we have Imbitado Events as our wedding coordinator. I think you can check on Ms. Darlene Tan-Salazar, her FB page (The Wedding Tip Sheet) is very engaging and I've seen lots of positive feedbacks sa hosting style niya.  :D

Hi! Anyone here who has attended a wedding reception in Conrad? How?s the food? Thanks! Our wedding will be on Jan 2020 pa but we all know how difficult it is to book major suppliers 🤷🏻‍♀️ We already booked the hotel pero I heard that the food there is not that great? (After I booked!!!) Huhu! So far we?ve booked the church, reception, P/V. Anyone else having praning moments bec of one bad review?

I read somewhere na if you are concerned about a negative feedback, it will be wise if you mention that to your supplier, in this case Conrad, na may negative comments about the food. This way you can raise the concern to them and check if they can do antything about the problem before your big day. Catering is not cheap so I don't think they'll take it bad on you if you just mention it to them na may worry ka sa quality ng food.  :)

Hi ladies, me and my boyfriend target din sana 2020. Pag ba nagpabook ba need nadin ba mag bayad? Up to now kase nagiipon pa kami ng panggastos.  :)

Yes you need a downpayment when booking your suppliers. Ask your suppliers kung how much is their downpayment so you could setup a budget.

Hi, December 2020 bride here!  :)

I know  it could be a little early, but I am now checking/narrowing down options for our wedding day. Just wanted to ask you guys if any of you have attended a single-venue wedding? Fiance and I have different religious beliefs and would like to have a civil ceremony instead of the traditional one. We are planning to have a single venue wedding, probably having the ceremony first then flipping the venue for the reception during cocktail hours.

May I know if possible kaya yun or if you guys know any caterer/event stylist who can do this? Budget by the way is 350,000 for a Metro Manila Wedding and for less than a hundred guests since we really want it to be intimate.

Hey kthflores,

I just attended a wedding last week and Ms. Ayie of Imbitado Events was the wedding host. Good choice! I've heard positive reviews about her but my wife and I were hesitant to get a planner with add-on hosting. In our case, we hired a separate host (JC Alelis). But I must say that experiencing Ayie's hosting last week made me think that it's also practical to get a 2-in-1 wedding planner. So your wedding would surely be in great hands with Ms. Ayie :) She was really funny.

I have started blogging about our wedding preps before as well at www.thehandsongroom.com I hope you can get something valuable from my blog too. Happy preps!

Cheers,

Lau

That's very nice to hear something positive for Ms. Ayie's hosting style! Very practical talaga, yes, because her hosting is just an additional P5000 to the whole package so we didn't think twice in booking her 😄 I found it less stressful also na I just have to talk to one person for the programme. at least we're sure na alam talaga ng host kaming dalawa and ang event since she's also behind the coordinating team.

May upcoming bridal fair sa SMX MOA sa July 20-21. I think it's called Getting Married Bridal Fair. Great chance to scout wedding suppliers. Best of all, free yung entrance. =D Might check it out on Saturday since nakatira lang ako near MOA.

Dec 2020 bride here, as well! And with the same budget! :D

We're limiting our guests to 50 pax, and I've seen packages of around 200k inclusive of food, venue, P/V, and HMUA. So far, well below our budget ang projected expenses (I've asked numerous suppliers na din).

We're making tipid na lang sa wedding dress (masama loob ko magspend ng more than 10,000 sa gown na isang beses lang susuotin lol) and other stuff.

As for the venue, I've seen a church wedding na ang seating nya, sa tables na. So after the ceremony, diretso program and food. You might want to consider that kind of set-up.

Hi! Depende sa budget mo. I booked Vee Tan. 60k lang quote nya sa peg ko na kinda like kryz uy's gown. She's young and promising. Sa kanya nagpagawa ng prom gown si Cassy (anak ni Carmina) :)

Hi everyone, Any antipolo brides to be here? I'm getting married on April 4 2020,

I was able to get a weekend slot at PIHM. May nagbackout so I grabbed it. So happy! My theme is rustic garden, and gusto ko simple lang lahat.
I am also a wedding supplier so mejo madali na yung selection of choices for me.  I' choosing those whom Ive worked with na.

Right now I am looking for a affordable reception venues: Here are my choices and some on my shortlist:
L' Aquinium - good package with catering
Firefly Ridge - perfect place for a garden setup, though hindi pa fully constructed yung place. It's  1 minute away from the venue.
Jardin de Marimar - nice garden, I'm just not excited over the corkage on photographers and coordinators.
Mango Farm - nice, but too expensive for me, considering mejo malayo na sya sa ceremony venue

Anyone attending the Weddings & Beyond Bridal fair this weekend? I used to participate in expos like this. Now, I'm a bride! :)

Good luck to us!
