Hello sis shyanne88, congratulations on your engagement. Mauuna pala kayo samen. Kame kasi 3rdquarter pa.

As early as that nagbook na kame ng caterer, church, reception, photog, videographer and hmua.

Natutunan ko kasi here na mas maaga mas ok as long as sure kana sa option mo para maprice lock mo yung mga services nila. Also para mablock mo na  yung service nila sa date na yun lalo na kung indemand yung supplier na kukunin mo.

Tho in my experience nagtatanong yung ibang suppliers kung kelan kasal then pag nagsend sila ng rates/packages nila iba yung rate nila for this year and next year.

Thanks sa info and tips sis. I got busy and just checked here. So far caterer, church, venue at hmua ang nareserve na nmin, problem is, yun nga andaming magaganda na lumalabas sa searches kasi naman kahit nkabook na pag nagbbrowse I cant help but look on other suppliers padin haha, kaso di na basta pwede magpalit lalo na pag nkapagreserve na omg. sayang din yun, especially nagset kmi ng budget for it para di kmi ngumanga after the wedding hehe ;)

March 2020 Bride!
Want to follow this thread. We're getting married in Baguio and we've already booked church, venue, event coordinator, photographer and videographer.
It felt like such a daunting task at first. I felt such anxiety just thinking about the planning but once we booked the church, reception venue and our event coordinator, I felt much more at ease.
Since we're Manila-based, we decided to do full coordination with our coordinator.

Currently on the look out for wedding gown and make up artist.

Hi! I am also in the process of looking for both. As of now I cannot figure out which MUA I will get. But I am looking into renting a bridal gown from Bottega Bellance. They have designers wedding gown from francis libiran, mak tumang, rosa clara, and more. Im going to visit soon as they said it is only first come first served basis. Take a look sis www.bottegabellance.com

Hi girls,

Recently got engaged last month and hopefully, I'll be a January 2020 bride. We're still waiting for approval of the church. We'll be having our wedding in Baguio since that's where my fiance and I met :)

Hello Everyone!

November 2020 bride here :)

My fiance and I are both based in California and we're planning to have our wedding in Manila.  Anyone here familiar with Kiss the Girl Events? Are they good? any good reviews about them? I saw their instagram account and so far, all I see are good reviews but of course it's their ig account..I asked my friends in manila and they are not familiar (or never heard)...I badly need a coordinator/planner, someone who can also help me conceptualize since I'm not very creative! How about La belle? Or Events by Thoffy?

HELP!

haven't booked any supplier yet, except for Nelwin Uy!!

Hello po mga Sis, 2020 bride here. I badly need your help.

May kilala po ba kayo who is willing to give sponsorship for the Valle Verde 4 Clubhouse? We are considering it kasi for our reception venue.

Would really appreciate the help! Thank you

To all the brides to be, I highly suggest you join the facebook group Wawies. Hindi na kasi ganun ka-active dito eh. Super helpful ng group na yan plus you can easily view all the reviews.

Sis,
If you've booked na with Nelwin Uy, maybe you can ask him for a reco for coordinator.
Or if you have a venue na and caterer in mind, you can ask them for coords they have worked with.  Yun yung 2 main items that we looked for sa coordinator namin kasi yun  yung masakit sa ulo if mag ka problems on the day itself kaya you need a coordinator that has experience dealing with your venue and your caterer. Where are you planning to have your wedding? In manila lang ba or out of town?

Hi all ;) Me and my bf got engaged last Feb and planning our wedding on Feb 2020. We have a chosen church already and possible venue, however, pencil booking palang naman po yun. With regards sa caterer nag attend kami ng isang grand food tasting last Sunday and agad agad we paid for 10k reservation already (was it reckless?  :\ )  I was now wondering if it was a good idea, lalo't  may nakikita akong iba and may ibang nega ako nkita regarding sa event styling ng caterer na nakuha namin. Thing is we're trying to settle things we can while I'm still here kasi I'm working abroad. And the next time i'l be back is a month prior to our big day na.  Any suggestions or tips you can give me po on what other things ang I can settle na as early as now? Also has anyone here tried the venue just behind the Mt. Carmel church? Yung Mark Horan Hall po? Kasi baka yun ang kunin namin para walking distance lang sa church. Also affordable din kasi, especially may limited budget lang kami for the wedding. Lastly, has anyone seen or availed the event styling done by Hizon's catering? Gusto ko po sana makita ang pics mismo ng event nila. Thank you po ;)

Hi Shaynne88 and everyone,

Replying here from a groom's perspective. I hope you don't find it weird that a guy is replying in a female forum like this, but truth be told, this forum was our source of reviews of wedding suppliers when we were planning our wedding a year ago. I was also based overseas at the time when we were doing the preps so I get where you are coming from.

Anyway, what I learned from our own experience is that wedding planning stress can be managed if you plan on mini-milestones ahead of time. At the time of our preparations, I have made our own version of wedding planning checklist which I have shared for free in my blog.

https://thehandsongroom.com/free-wedding-planning-checklist/

I hope it can help you. Enjoy the preps!

Regards,

Laurence

Hi Sglayski,

If you have a budget for Kiss The Girl, that is perfect. I have heard good feedback about them from my friends. You can also check other coordinators, which I can recommend, in my blog.

https://thehandsongroom.com/wedding-coordinators-in-the-philippines/

Our coordinator was The Wedding Project Philippines (TWP).

I have also provided in my blog some other suppliers which we considered during our wedding preps. I hope it can help you  :D

Congratulations on your engagement, ladies!
Looking back on my wedding preps, I guess if you can afford it, i-go niyo na lahat ng dream pegs and wedding wishes ninyo. Dati kasi tipid tipid mode ako (even if I had the money). Looking back, I should have just went ahead and booked or got the supplier / item I really wanted rather than think about longingly now.

Enjoy the planning, sissies and future brides! :)

Hi everyone! I got engaged October 2018 and me and the fiance both agreed to have a long engagement. Our wedding is on June 2020 (falling into the 12 months-to-go preps time soon!)

I have booked almost all of the suppliers because we tried to have their 2018/2019 rates as much as possible. Being an overseas bride, this forum helped me a lot (w@wies didn't accept my request to be a member because they thought I'm a supplier daw when I just take photos as a hobby :P) so almost all of the info I got is from reading the forums here and pieces of advice from my cousin who got married in 2016.

I'm so excited! Happy preps to us all!!!  ;)
