How do you handle setbacks?

Please share your thoughts on how do you handle setbacks in a work place environment?

For things na out of my control like sudden system down, important files lost, etc then i'll just wait it out and chill, at para umusad ang trabaho i'll have to re-organize my workload and unahin yung kayang matapos manually.

Pero kung intentional setback na dulot ng labis na katangahan o kamalian ng isang katrabaho, i'll let that person or my boss deal with it; I don't usually clean up somebody's mess after them. Heh, not my problem.

If it's something I'm accountable for, I'll work towards the solution first then deal with the root cause later. If not, well, there's really nothing to do Be sad for a bit then move on?

leoanmsotelo, research how your company is doing profit-wise. If it's better than last year, go ahead and follow-up. Otherwise, don't ask your boss.

Ask your boss, if the company will be giving increases soon,   In that general manner, it is non-confrontational & he won't get defensive for his broken promise.   If the company can't afford, or you see it's strategy is to hire & hire  at base/entry rates (as in, moving people up & keeping them is not a priority strategy) --  it may be time to ship out. 

Always know your worth.  BUT do not ever lose touch with Reality.

talk to your boss nalang muna. After sya naman yata ang naginitiate nung incease. sana may documentation ka nung una nyong conversation about it.
