Actually for us, nauna pa yung mga wedding talks and wedding plans. hindi pa naman kami kasal, and deep inside, i feel sad na parang hindi ko yata mafefeel yung excitement during a wedding proposal. i don't want to miss out on that kapag married na. para kasing ang sarap lang din balikan or pagusapan ng... "remember when we got engaged?" mga ganyan.

Hi GTs, share ko lang yung story ng engaement namin in the time of COVID. Haha!

We've planned (and booked) our wedding na, pre-quarantine pa lang. But at that time, we were not "officially" engaged.  As in one of our adulting talks lang na, let's get a house na. So we did. Then, let's get married na before the turnover. Ganun ka-chill. And I never felt bad about not having an engagement ring, kasi sa akin, I know we have more gastos so I totally understand.

Then exactly a month ago, while working from home pa ha, my H2B said, I wanna give you something, advance anniversary gift kasi excited nako. And then he asked me to guess, lahat nang hula ko are practical items like stuff that I or we will need after the wedding. Then he said, "Mas papakasalan mo ako sa regalo ko." I still didn't get it. HAHA so he just showed me a purple velvet box, and then I heard him say, "Will you marry me?" Sa sobrang shookt ko, wala ako nafeel na emotions. Di ako naiyak, di nadin ata ako nakasagot. As in lutang lang talaga! HAHA! Then nung nagsink in na, feeling ko ang ganda ko, at ako happiest woman alive that night.

It wasn't the grandest wedding proposal, we were both in our pambahays! But totoo pala na kahit hindi mo kailangan yung ring, pag nagkaroon ka at ineffortan in any way ni H2B yun, OMG it feels so good!

I hope all the ladies, future brides man na or in the process pa, will feel the same joy I felt. Kasi no matter how small that gesture is, kahit sa tulad ko na initially wala paki sa engagements, super feel good. Tuwing titignan ko yung e-ring ko, it'll be a reminder and a motivation as well na papalapit na yung wedding day.

Proposals are a thing these days, but actually they are not too important naman as long as you and your partner are open-minded and understanding. Although it's becoming very "uso" now, it doesn't mean everyone will go through the phase where the guy will be kneeling on one knee with a tiny box with a sparkling diamond ring in it. Doesn't work that way. Nakakakilig, yes, but it is not a game-changer.

I just recently got engaged, and while I liked the thought of it long before he actually proposed, hindi ako nag-expect ng anything. I put it at the far end of my brain para hindi ako ma-hurt or ma-offend kung hindi man niya ginawa. But he did on Christmas day, and I was happy because naipaalam na niya prior to my parents about his plans before he proposed. Nothing grand, just pure love

Up this thread. Need some advice mga sis planning to buy na ng engagement ring sabi ni boyfie he wants me to buy 1 carat na alam nya mahilig ako sa alahas  nakapag check na kami sa mall 155k for 1.3 carat na ata but hindi ko nagustuhan pati ni bf kasi hindi sya sparkling for that price and lumang stock na siguro yung andun . Feeling namin meron mas mura if sa mismong alahera na bibili may alam kayo na mas cheaper store ng diamonds?

Sis mura na yon for 1ct but do check the cut and clarity as well. 1ct round is nasa 200k na ngayon sa malls but sa suppliers or "alahera" you can get a good quality one for 160k-180k it all depends sa quality ng diamond.
