to achieve a very fine texture ng ice candy, mix the evap/condensed milk with hot water first before with the reg.water (thats what my mom taught me)...

1 big condensed milk
mangoes
half litre hot water
half litre reg. water
sugar(to taste depende sa preference) but usually dinadamihan ko ng sugar kasi tumatabang if nag-ice na sya.

>adjust mo content ng water and sugar if gaano kadami gagawin mo
>for commercialized ice candy lagyan ng konti cornstrach to achieved a fine texture!...gudluck! ;)

A really good thing I've tried is the mango-flavored ice candy. :) We used to make tons of those here at home when my siblings and I were kids.

- Mix evaporated milk and mangoes and water in a blender, so as to crush the mangoes as well
- Put mixture in ice candy bags
- Freeze to desired hardness. Haha. :)

I read the same topic sa other thread but mods mukhang mas ok yong suggestion nyo to start a new one na lang to update.

I tried to make ice candy, following the same ingredients and procedures mentioned in the other thread but I just can't get its fine texture and consistency. I don't know why.. maybe some sis could give more idea on how to prepare it?

Please share your recipe sisses..TIA

Hi mga sis.. How to make ice candy that include the cornstarch or cassava. niluluto pa ba cia? I remember kasi my cousin used to make ice candy. I know she still cooking it. I don't know exactly the procedure. :-(
Title: Re: Ice Candy
Post by: maanrodriguez on April 30, 2012, 01:32:08 pm
Hi sis, I read somewhere na magpapakulo ka muna ng tubig. while waiting, dissolve the cornstarch in water (ibang water ha, hindi yung pinapakuluan mo). pagkakulo, mix in the cornstarch and water mixture, pakuluan mo lang saglit and then let cool. pag room temp na, ihalo mo sya sa ice candy mixture mo.

i havent tried this kasi okay naman samin yung texture ng ice candy na ginagawa namin, pero pag sinipag gagawin ko to. hehe. :)
