praying for your partner in life

ericaberica - para tuloy nakikita ko ang sarili ko sau sis. i actually have what they call a text bf today. but aside from the fact na i don't really consider it to be something serious kahit na nga bah seryoso kuno yung guy, i know deep in my heart na he's not the one. i don't know also why. instinct perhaps? or God dwelling maybe. 

icegurl - magkatulad din tayo ng iniisip sis. feeling ko kasi i'm not yet on the stage na magiging proud sa akin ang magiging bf or soon-to-be husband ko. need ko pa mgpamakeover. hehe.  and yah, nice signature you've got there sis. it makes me ponder kasi.

Meron kasi akong self-confidence issues. Feeling ko, I'm never that good for anyone. I have this notion kasi na you have to be perfect for someone. Ewan ko ba naman san ko nakuha yung ganong thinking.

Ganyan din ako dati. Ako nakuha ko yung idea sa surroundings ko tsaka sa media. Promise, nung nag-stop ako manood ng TV, umakyat self-confidence ko kasi nagka-time ako mag-sports, mag-basa, mag-meet ng friends.  Tapos nakita ko na yung mga happily married, di naman sila perfect people.  Perfect attitude meron sila. Kasama yun sa "preparation" ko.

btw, talking about them praying for us too.. well my hubby did. he told me he ask for 3 things from God, one of which was to have a "good woman to be his wife" and according to him all his prayers were granted. he did a novena a 1,000 hail mary's, he did it with his cousins.

Naku, I reckon mas marami tayo than we can imagine! If you met me in HS for example, you would think I am the epitome of confidence.  Yun pala, flop!  Haha.

Hmm, nakaka-relate ako sa kwento mo.  Sabi nung isa kong ex sa akin when we were dating: "I do not want to have a girlfriend."  Pero ako hoping pa rin na magbabago isip niya.  Sige pa rin ako kahit pseudo-relationship meron kami.  I felt really bad about myself! 

Nung huli umayaw na ako.  Tapos nung ayaw ko na, habol naman ng habol!    Buti na lang sadyang pinaghiwalay kami ni God dahil nag-aral siya abroad.

ako when i prayed for the one with whom i'll be for the rest of my life, i was mending a broken heart. i asked Him not to give me anyone muna if it would lead to another heartbreak, if that guy isn't the one yet. then i enumerated the traits i wanted, how i want our relationship to be. i was happily surprised that He gave my fiance to me! now, 15 days to go - and we're gonna get married na! my fiance really is the answer to the prayers i said to Him

before hindi  pinag pray si "the one", but one friend told me na kailangan din ipagpray si "the one" kaya ngayon kasama na sya sa prayers ko... but not praying too much, sabi ko lang kay Lord ibigay nya [textspeak!] for me at ihahanda ko ang sarili ko kay The One.

if i only knew that it really helps to pray for your future husband, sana sinimulan ko na gawin nung teenager pa ko.. para di ako nagfall sa iba at wala sana heartaches.. hayy..

After my MU during high school life. I told myself na ayaw ko munang mag BF kasi baka matukso ako di makatapos mg studies kawawa naman parents ko, tsaka gusto ko 1st BF ko magiging asawa ko. After i finished my studies i worked after 2years i resigned umuwi ako ng province namin for vacation only. Then na napasama sa barkada namin itong supladong guy, at 1st talagang nag iiwasan kami i don't know why. Basta sa barkada kami lagi nag ka clash, until di na nmin na iwasan ang isa't-isa naging kami na. After 2weeks na guluhan ako sa kanya so we broked up. I cried not bec. i loved him that much but bec. of feeling na frustrated ka, for so many years na di ako nag BF tapos ma uuwi lang sa wala. 'Yung dream ko na 1st BF 'yun din ang magiging husband ko. Mag ki-x'mas pa naman that time. Kinumpleto ko ang simbang gabi, i ask God to keep me strong. Na alala ko pa ang pini-pray ko that time "Lord hinde ko hihingin na ibalik mo s'ya sa akin, bigyan mo lang ako ng sign kung s'ya ba talaga ang lalaki para sa akin o hinde so hinde na ako aasa".  "yun lang. Dec. 24, bumalik s'ya sa akin after 3 year nag pakasal kami. And no regrets ang bait-bait ng asawa ko.

  im praying so hard na sana dumating na siya...i really dont know kung kelan ibibigay ni GOD yun para sakin...pero alam ko higit sa pa hiningi ko ang ibibigay ni GOD...i feel im dying right now...sobrang sad ako ngayon sana mawala na lahat yun takot,sakit etc..

^sis Gabo are you praying for someone specifically?  I suggest you just let go if it is the case.  I prayed for someone specifically before.  True enough, he stayed on but we were never really happy.

When I let go and allowed God to really lead me to the one, that was when I met my husband.

As cliché as this sounds, if he is God´s choice for You, God will touch his heart.

@ericaberica - i just saw this thread again! you answered my question pala about other people (like members of the family) praying in your behalf.  pwede pala yun... kawawa naman yung mom ko medyo matagal na syang nagdadasal. pero wala talaga! it doesn't help that i'm in a country that speaks a foreign language that i don't know! ~frustrated~ i'll start praying na rin!

Ako naman, I'm with someone right now.  We are not really together but we talk everyday.  Then my friend came along, he is a long time friend and I realize now that I like him din pala.

The problem with me is if I like someone, I do the opposite of what I would normally do to someone I don't like.  Ngayon ayaw na niya talaga ako, high maintenance daw ako pero swerte daw magiging husband ko.  Hay
