(1) How did you start out with your homebased job?

I was a student at UP Diliman in 2009 when I saw a RareJob ad inside an Ikot Jeep. Left/Kicked out sa RJ in 2015. For my primary na raket luckily one of my co-tutors I met here sa GT recruited me <3.

(2) What do you feel are the disadvantages, if any, of working in the confines of your house?

Walang office outing, walang 13th, 14th, 15th month pay (Hahaha depende sa boss, pero samin kasi di nauso yan). Benefits wala rin (again depende sa boss I have a friend may pa HMO SSS Philheath PAGIBIG ang boss) pero my husband naman has, so keber pala.

Tapos dahil walang time commitment and deadlines yung current work, kapag tinamad ako wala nganga. No work, no pay lol. Minsan mahabang weekend ang peg (tipong buong linggo di ako nakakawork XD)

(3) Do you miss working in an office setting?

Unlike most of you here, I haven't worked in an office talaga. I started RareJob in college and I didn't have to work outside. May point sa freelancing life kong na-bore ako sa bahay so.... training lang sa isang BPO naexperience ko (> 1.5 months). Fun while it lasted!

(4) Would you consider going back to working in an office?

Sa traffic now lalo dito sa Pasig, NOPE. Haha!

Sis try Upwork, onlinejobsph, peopleperhour.com, freelancer.com
Make sure na verified yung client and mas better kung may ratings na sila, meaning may na hire na sila before.

Hi everyone.
I'm seriously considering this, I've been getting good feedback about work-from-home set ups, although, I don't know what to expect pa. Like, in terms of the pay? What's the range like po?

TIA :)

^salary depends on several things -- client offer, technical skills, experience/portfolio, etc. General admin/data entry tasks kadalasan have the lowest rate but not all the time). If you'll be using upwork, you have to build your portfolio first, gather client feedbacks, projects and work hours. Maraming competition sa upwork, kaya some freelancers are willing to bid low para lang makakuha ng project. The lowest i think right now is $5 per project. But to give you an idea, freelancers can earn as low as 10k a month and can go up to 100k sometimes even higher.

(1) How did you start out with your homebased job?s
When i found out that i was pregnant, nagisip na agad ako ng game plan ko. I live independently and i don't see myself living with my parents again. On my 8th month, while at work nagsearch ako homebased jobs then i found out about Upwork.
Told my client that i am pregnant and gladly he has no problem with it. Going 3 yrs na kami ni client.

(2) What do you feel are the disadvantages, if any, of working in the confines of your house?
Ang daming tukso sis! Plus the internet lalo na pag nagloloko. Also, pag kailangan ako ng anak ko then may deadline. Ay stress naman talaga sya!
I also need HMO and i sometimes miss the outside worlds and talking to officemates.

(3) Do you miss working in an office setting?
I sometimes do. I miss talking to workmates but i dont miss the politics

(4) Would you consider going back to working in an office?
i don't think i will go back because of TRAFFIC and hindi ko matanggap yung idea na iiwan ko anak ko kahit sa kamag anak ko pa. LOL

(1) How did you start out with your homebased job?

By Accident. I have a blog before xanga pa nung time na yun.
Mahilig ako mag design ng blog ko kaya natuto ako mag web design and development narin , dun na nag start. No proper education, i just developed my skills while doing it as a hobby. It took me 6 years to acquire it ng bongga talaga di ganun kadali.

(2) What do you feel are the disadvantages, if any, of working in the confines of your house?

No social life,  Nakakataba, madalas ako ma depress, nasasanay akong maging alone, tinatamad lumabas, madalas para kong alien pag sa labas haha di na ata ako sanay.  Varicose Veins, pancake butt. Basta di ka na sanay magkikilos pag masyado kang free. Unlike pag may boss/supervisor na andyang lang sa floor niyo. Pag wala kang lovelife mas lalong less chance. Walang HMO etc.

(3) Do you miss working in an office setting?

No. Nakasanayan ko na to.

(4) Would you consider going back to working in an office?

Never!

Wokring in office was really painfull for me, when I picked up an article writing job I trully felt happy for the first time. Working in your own schedule without boss was a relief. Besides, if I need more money I can work longer and my salary is higher than it was before. If you have an opportunity to pick up a freelance job for yourself, I encourage you to give it a shot and build your own career.

Thank you for the insipiring words and good feedback, I am giving it a try next year after ng out of the country trip namin but starting February I will be slowly preparing for work from home job like my dedicated work space, I will invest to have a good working space talagang comfy chair and nice office table, mag upgrade na rin kami ng internet service provider at the same time mag build ng profile sa resume for home based work.

Tulad ngayon lakas ng ulan need pa rin pumasok.

Been working home based for 10yrs now, grateful ako kay God for aligning me to this work set up. I've been working in BPO's for 5 years and compared to working at home, ang laki ng savings , from food, to pamasahe, clothes, etc.

(1) How did you start out with your homebased job?

I found it online, submitted application, interviewed and took exam, and took the chance to leave my (then) current job and work from home without knowing if I'll really be earning from it. But it was legit, basta ba hindi nagpapabayad ng kahit anong fees and software.

(2) What do you feel are the disadvantages, if any, of working in the confines of your house?
If you don't manage your time well, then it would feel as if you are working 24/7.
Since you are working on your laptop/PC all the time, so easy to get distracted by watching movies online, or browsing through FB

(3) Do you miss working in an office setting?
No. My closest officemates are also now working online, so we get to meet virtually everyday, and physically at least once a month.

(4) Would you consider going back to working in an office?
No.  Considering how much time and money I get to save by working from home. Not to mention being with my family all the time, and having the freedom to go out any working day when you are usually in the office, online job is for me the best thing that the internet has produced by far.

I've been working at the college for two years. When I get used to my main work, I decided to find a second, home-based,  job. Despite full working day, I have enough free time, so why not spend it usefully? I've been thinking and searching a lot till finally, I found my current job. I started working as a freelance writer at Techrabytes. For me, it's easy to combine both of my jobs, and now I'm very satisfied with it!
I've even got time to help my son with his homework assignments and other tasks!

When it comes to sports, so the time has come when a lot of big comanies are investing in arduino so they can make sure that they have the accurate data to support their teams and make sure that they have the right players for the right spots.
