Diamond Peel-Thread 3
« on: March 05, 2012, 09:04:32 pm »
New home sisses! And if you need to check back on the previous thread:

Benefits of Diamond Peel
* Even skin color
* Treat sun-damaged skin
* Refine skin pores
* Reduce breakouts
* Remove blemishes
* Treat stretch marks
* Achieve a healthy glow

POWER PEEL vs DIAMOND PEEL
Power Peel is an intense exfoliation process using ultra-fine aluminum oxide crystals. The hand piece of the instrument contains a vacuum tube that sweeps up both the crystals and the skin's cellular debris.

Diamond Peel uses natural diamond chips and then gently vacuuming the dead skin cells away. can be done every 2 weeks or monthly, depending on the doctor's recommendation.

microdermabrasion involves removing the upper layers of the skin with  mechanical means. be it diamond peel, power peel, laser, etc... all of them is a form of microdermabrasion

power peel is just like diamond peel... both basically gives the same result the difference between the 2 (aside from the wand used) is that power peel uses fine powdered crystals which is disposed already after 1 time use, making it more hygienic because even the tip of the wand is disposable, while diamond peel uses diamond chips/powder which is at the tip of the wand which is washed and sterilized every after use.  So preference lang, needless to say mas mahal ang powerpeel than diamond peel. the only difference is the wand used...

if you deeper scars and skin irregularities, it's much recommended to have power peel because the crystals can snugly fit in those rough surfaces and irregularities of our skin  ;)

jet peel is a bit different... it is also a microdermabrasion machine (like dp/pp) but it uses water (with vitamins etc)

oxygen facial uses a wand also just like pp/dp/jet peel but it uses oxygen steam

^we should STOP applying tretinoin/hydroquinone products 3-5 days before having a diamond peel.... it will make your skin more sensitive.... then a day after your dp, you could resume using it  ;)

i love the effects of my pristine diamond peel treatment. At first i thought it wouldnt make any difference but it did. My skin looks more radiant than ever before and my pores got smaller. :) i also have my nightly routine which is the clinda and tret for maintenance so i will not get a lot of pimples.

^ because of the peeling process brought by the machine, your skin might feel slightly itchy and may cause flaking... but these are normal & there's nothing to worry about. you might wanna put moisturizer ;)

doing this frequently is not advisable to those who have sensitive skin too...

Dra Marquez and the Skin house uses that pristine dermabrasion machine. It uses real diamond chips unlike other cheaper diamond peel system. That's something to

I can see that you're in makati. Dra cumagun has a clinic at Beverly hills, halos connected siya w/ all hospitals. She owns a harmony elite n that pristine dermabrasion machine. She is a respected dermatologist.

Mga sis, may naka-try na sa inyo ng diamond peel ni Dr. Leah Martires? Is it worth it compared sa diamond peel ng commercial clinics?

I've only tried power peel sa Flawless. After 2-3 days mo pa makikita ang effect. Parang may glow talaga, parang nagvacation leave ng matagal.  ;D Na-miss ko na din, saan ba maganda and affordable? Has anyone tried sa St. Fancis? Parang may nakikita ako na facial clinic doon. Sa may ground floor lang.

Hi Sis Brattinella :) Alin ang pinakamaganda sa lahat? May I ask what's the difference between DP and Jet Peel? Thanks in advance :)

^i already explained sis ;) jet peel uses water while dp uses diamond chips/powder... imo, the best is power peel... then if you don't have much skin problems (like scars/hyperpigmentation), you may opt to have jet peel (but only a few have this machine)...

^Hi Sis Brattinella :) Sorry if I asked, groggy na siguro ako while typing kanina :P Dra. 6F mentioned to me na next time ay i-try ko daw ang Jet Peel. I wasn't able to ask her nga lang kung ano ang difference nya sa DP in terms of benefits/results sa skin. But, since you've already mentioned above, I think Jet Peel is a must-try for me. Thank you :)
