madaming serum sa face.. yung olay total effects may serum eh.. depende kung anong tinatarget mong ma cure/ma prevent..

a serum is a more potent form ng cream.. mas madaling ma absorb.. pwede ka rin mag cream after ng serum..

Im still testing out the Pure Beauty Super Brightening Essence I bought from Watsons. The one in sachet (Bon Voyage essential serum) is pretty good. Ang goal ko lang naman is to minimize my pores. I apply this at night and mornings na din before make-up.

daming serum, depends on what you need like brightening, anti-aging, etc. personally i use it for brightening and moisturizing. finished 2 bottles of avalon vit c serum already. i like it since my combi/dry sensitive acne prone skin doesn't react to it. it's lightly moisturizing and gradually brightens; evens out minor blemishes. nice rin sha as base prior to powder foundi. mahirap lang makita sa healthy options, madalas out of stock.

Youth code serum by l'oreal is nice.

All About Facial Serums
« Reply #7 on: October 16, 2012, 10:58:24 am »
This thread refers to Facial Serums in General and how they contribute significantly to a skincare regimen. I tried to do a board search for a thread on serums lang and couldn't find any so I made this thread. If there is an existing thread, kindly redirect.

Serums are now known as the core product in a skincare system, as they contain more potent ingredients compared to moisturizers and provide better delivery to the skin with their thinner formulations.

Vitamin C serums are hugely popular as they help in skin brightening. But formulations of a stable vitamin C serum remain tricky, and most cheaper alternatives can only provide placebo effect. For more info on vitamin C serums, please check this thread: http://www.femalenetwork.com/girltalk/index.php/topic,175920.msg6934363.html#msg6934363

There are a number of serums available in the market, each with their own proclaimed benefits. Do you use a serum in your skincare regimen? If you do please share and let us know how well it works for you. :)

I use two serums, one for AM another in the PM.

AM - Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Complex
This can be used day or night or both times, pero I use it in the AM only. It serves as my moisturizer na din. I think of this as vitamins for my skin. It also helps control my acne and oily skin, for some reason, kaya I can't stop using it. It's slightly expensive but a bottle lasts me 5-6 months on a 3 drops/ once a day use.

PM - Growth Factor Serum / Potent Vitamin A Serum
I get this from my derma and it's relatively cheap. It helps firm and refine the skin, minimize the pores and dry up acne.

I was seeing reviews of Shu Uemura's Tsuya and I am definitely considering buying this after I finish up my EL ANR. Nakaka-enganyo ang brighter, more luminous skin:

I'm currently using EL ANR. Ok naman, malapit ko ng maubos. Pero baka hindi muna ako bibili kasi ang mahal.

sis i've been using this day and night since August. maganda effect nya saken. my pores are smaller now and overall my face is brighter. it also makes my moisturizers sink in faster. i have very very sensitive skin and this does not cause rashes or break outs at all. medyo steep lang ang price but 1 bottle will last you about 4-5mos with regular use, so it's not so bad. :)

I'm using Burt's Bees Repair Serum with Attar of Rose, mostly for the eye area at night... reviews say it takes time before the effects are noticeable so I'm hoping for the best! So far, I like it... my eye area is prone to tiny white bumps (milia) but this didn't give me any unlike other products.
