I posted this din in the Globe thread.

We recently switched to Globe DSL from PLDT DSL and so far I think it's the best decision I've made.

We were PLDT subscribers for 13 years and mahal ang binabayad tapos inconsistent service.

We recently got Globe DSL's 1599 plan for 15 mbps with 150 gb data allocation. Though 12 to 13 mbps lang yun nakukuha talaga na speed, it's still malayo sa 5 mbps plan namin with PLDT na binabayaran ko for 1,800 plus.

Sana tuloy tuloy 'tong Globe DSL. Happy talaga ako so far.

Manila area ako sis, Sampaloc to be specific.

In my case, Plan 1599 ako with 15 mbps. On ordinary days, 12 to 13 mbps lang speed ko. Once na-cap 4.5 mbps na lang until mag reset na ulit on the first day of the following month. Basically, once ma-cap, unli internet ka at 4.5 mbps.

Though matagal bago ako naconvince na lumipat. Kasi every time I visit Globe's FB page, puro reklamo nakikita ko. Tapos I saw yun new plans nila and nacompare ko sa PLDT namin ang laki ng matitipid. We don't even use our landline na nung PLDT pa kami kasi bawat dial sa labas may bayad. I even locked the outgoing long distance calls to make sure lang na hindi na kami lalagpas ng 2k sa bill sa PLDT. Sa Globe naman free calls sa Globe and TM, so yun, medyo leap of faith din. Haha.

Haha.

^ meron kayong nakuhang chromecast?

^ Meron sis. Nun nag install dito sa bahay may dala na sila Chromecast. Gamit na gamit ko na for Iflix ko and Netflix naman kaka email lang ng activation code nung 15.

Though sad wala Spotify Premium na freebie. Netflix and Hooq na yung free tapos 6 months.

was using pldt before shifted to globe and now back to pldt. speed-wise dito sa area namin i'd say wala or negligible difference. parehas na mabilis ang globe and pldt. now sa plan naman kaya balik kami sa pldt is heavy user mga tao dito sa bahay. nung nasa globe kami halos everyday na-re-reach namin daily cap agad (globe had a daily cap before, not monthly like dun sa current plans) and most of the time we had to call globe para i-reset yung speed since supposedly automatic dapat yung reset ng speed to normal plan speed after around 12am everyday but madalas hindi nangyayari yung auto-reset so naka-cap yung speed namin. eventually i grew tired of calling globe cs so back to pldt uli para no cap.

We've been using PLDT DSL for several years now. We started with them before but their Internet connection faltered so we switched to Sky with the cable bundle. It wasn't good so we tried WiTribe. They had good connection however they closed.

So we went back to PLDT DSL and it was great for several years until 2017, their service has deteriorated once again. We keep reporting but they still haven't fixed it. I'm using it for work so it's a hassle whenever their internet connection is halting or worse, gone. My back up is SMART LTE which is better than PLDT (although sister company) though there are times too that it's not working (rarely).

What's a better alternative for internet service provider in QC area, near Trinoma/SM North to be precise? I saw Sky has a new one in their commercial but it's a mobile router and since we didn't had a good experience with their internet, I'm not sure if it's the best way to go. Bayantel has switched to Globe right? Is it good if we go for Globe? I don't know what else is there. Can you suggest the best one for work purposes? I know there are other companies that are really for work providing internet service but they might only provide for companies instead of home-based work. I'm considering switching to PLDT Fiber but what if their service is as bad as their DSL? Sometimes I feel like they are doing it on purpose so you end up availing their new and faster internet plans.

we have been using pldt dsl for years but it's time to move to Fiber.
Up to 25mbps, unlimited volume allowance at 1500 per month.

Cheaper sila than pldt fiber (plan 1699 is 5mbps lang)
Sana lang maayos kasi may 2yr lock-in period eto.

Ang mura sa Converge ah. So far, I'm happy naman with Globe broadband. Madalas nacacap ako lately because of streaming, pero nasa almost 5mbps pa rin naman once capped. So keri lang. :)

How does capping work with globe?

So far wala ko marereklamo sa download and upload speed niya. Ranging between 27 to 30 mbps lang lagi to think ours is the cheapest fiber plan na to up to 25mbps lang.

Last week, 1 day nawalan ng connection I'm not sure if related eto sa current issue with international submarine cables. Good thing hinde pa disconnected yung PLDT DSL namin.

We are not gamers so hinde namin ramdam yung feedback na maLag daw to sa gaming.

100mbps for first 6 months tapos back to 50mbps pag lagpas 6 months na. So far mabilis minsan umaabot pa ng 180mbps lol.

Pero may backup kami na Globe DSL. In case na magsumpong si PLDT
