Separate Utensils for Househelp?

^^ agree. sabi nga iayon ang ka-artehan, hehe. same argument, we eat out in restos, we share utensils with thousands of strangers and we don't even know how they handle the cleaning, we just trust them to be reputable enough to do it the right way but still. hehe. but then again, to each his own.

kadiri nga naman yung ginamit na na baso, sinosoli pa sa lagayan lols. our helper does that with our knives dati and it infuriates me, pano pa yung baso. i just made sure na alam nyang ayoko at nadudumihan ako sa ginagawa nya. umayos naman sha eventually. and yep we share plates and utensils. pero may sarili shang baso ang mug. lahat kami actually dito sa bahay.

mga nakaugalian sa probinsya dala pa rin nila  pag dating ng manila. kahit magkasakit sila hanap nila ang manggagamot (sige, good luck makahanap ka nyan dito.) kung wala they go for herbals than going to hospital.

para saakin it depends sa level ng yaman or status ng buhay.

Kung ang bahay ko ay tig 500million like the ones sa forbes, ayala haha.. Seperate utensils ay acceptable.
If my house naman is big and i am rich, yung may sariling tambayan ang maids, na may dining area sila, room at cr. Seperate utensils's fine too.
Pero kung kulob yung bahay, bungalow, townhouse, 1bedroom condo, di naman kayamanan. Isa lang ang cr ng amo at maids, ok na yung share ng utensils. hehe.
I dont know, feel ko lang na it should be that way.. 
Kaya ang helpers namin share ang utensils kasi di naman kami mayaman. Hahaha.

same utensils lang liban na lang siguro if may sakit siya at the moment pabubukurin ko muna utensils. sabi mo nga if di naman ganon ka yayamanin e wag na umarte. hahahaha

Utensils yes. Pero just like most of us here, kanya-kanyang baso kaming lahat sa bahay.

Siguro the maids will appreciate din kung meron silang sarili. Kasi for sure takot din silang makabasag or makasira ng gamit ng amo nila. If you get along with the maids and they are okay with the set-up then it's okay.

The only time yata that we had separate utensils for the househelp was sa farm sa probinsya. Eh paano kasi meron naman talaga silang mini-studio dun where they stay, so alangan naman pupunta pa dun sa main house para kumuha ng tinidor.

But with the condo and eventually my parents' house here in manila, parang wala naman akong maalalang ganyan.  But I understand why other people would do it. As long as maayos naman yung pinapagamit sa kanila di ba, parang hindi naman major issue kung separate ba o hindi.

Share kami ng utensils ng househelp namin, except she has her own mug for drinking. Hindi din  naman kalakihan bahay namin and iisa lang ang kitchen. What I do is boil our utensils every week and always dip the utensils in very hot water before using.  Yung rationale ko is, most of the time pag kumakain tayo sa restaurants iba-ibang tao ang gumagamit sa utensils nila. Minsan hindi pa natin sigurado na nahugasan ng tama. Kaya when we eat at fastfood chains like Jollibee, Chowking, etc. I prefer disposable spoon and fork dahil alam ko sa busy ng crew hindi na masyadong nahuhugasan ng tama ang gamit nila. Medyo OT na ako.

We have different utensils.  Maganda din mga gamit nila, yun yung gamit ko before when I was living alone.

Yes, kung meron sakit, if not, I don't think kaya ko gawin yan, personally, it's discrimination. Better isterilize utensils as often as possible, iwas praning.
