I am planning to get my yaya SSS and philhealth too, topic namin ito last week. Ayaw pumayag, pinapakita ko pa benefits sa kanya.

Akala kasi nila kakaltasan sila nung employee contribution at akala nila malaki ang kaltas, kaya ayaw nila. Actually pwede namang hindi sila kaltasan, maliit lang naman at kaya na ng employer na sagutin yun

^^ May immediate needs kasi sila sis so di nila maiisip yung long term benefits ng SSS at philhealth. Sa liit ng salary nila, on the average 3,000-4,000 siguro per month, pag binawasan mo pa ng 100-200+, malaking kawalan sa tingin nila. Kasi pang-LBC na un ng ipapadalang pera sa probinsya o pang-load o pamasahe pag day off.

Karamihan sa kilala ko na nagbabayad ng SSS para house helpers nila ay sila na mismo ang sumasagot ng full amount of contribution. Kumbaga, added incentive na lang.

^the last time I checked sa SSS dito sa amin, 3,000 bracket (minimum) ang nirerequire nila for household helpers... so that would be 322 per per month... technically, the employee will pay 100 tapos yung 222 must be shouldered by the employer...

^ 100 per month po yan... 50% sa employer, 50% sa employee... pero quarterly ang bayad so 300 ang isang bayaran...

sa mga nagbibigay ng SSS, kayo ba sis nagapply on their behald? meaning nagpunta kayo mismo sa SSS office? or you let them do this? Thanks!

@ sis baisanan: 60 na ang auntie mo tapos ngayon pa lang mag-start mag-SSS? Hindi na pwede. At kung sakali mang pwede (na hindi talaga kasi hanggang 60 lang ang age limit ng SSS hehe), di na rin adviseable. Kasi you need at least 10 years contribution para makapagpension. So 70 na siya by that time? Eh ang life expectancy ng Pinay ay mga 66 lang. Kung meron na siya dati na SSS, ok siguro na ituloy pa kung sandali na lang.

@ sis sachism: Yeah, additional 422 ang compensation. Kung iaapply mo ang househelp mo, you need to go to SSS personally kasi magpaparegister ka as employer eh. So may form ka na ififill-out. Kung walang SSS number ang helper mo, siya mismo ang kukuha nun at hindi ikaw kasi "personal" account niya yun eh.

mga sis, pano niyo nirereport ang contribution nila? dati kasi nagsusubmit ako ng R3 forms per quarter. Isa lang na househelp namin ang may SSS contribution kasi siya lang ang nagtagal sa amin ng 1 year..

(4 years na siya sa amin).

lately lang, my sister was told by one of sss reps dun na we need to use SSS R3 file generator and then print the form. we were given a copy of the software and soft copy of the manual pero nagtaka lang ako kung bakit may ganito. who has tried this?

now if this turned out as inconvenient on my part (as an employer), papa change ko na lang siya ng status as self-employed and add ko na lang yong SSS contribution niya sa salary. Its gonna be up to her whether she wants to still continue paying her contribution quarterly.

^ Monthly pa rin ang contribution kahit self-employed, sis. Pero mahihirapan siya magpachange ng status from being a househelper to self-employed. I-scrutinize talaga ng SSS yan, iisipin na pinapa-self-employed ng amo. Baka hindi payagan. Gusto kasi ng SSS na ituring na employed talaga ang mga kasambahay, at malaki ang risk na hindi mabayaran ang monthly contribution nila pag as self-employed o voluntary members sila.

Ngayon kasi, computerized na ang pag-encode ng R3. Yung dati, mano-mano talaga kaya matagal mai-upload ng encoder (mga 2-3 months). Tapos quarterly pa. Pag nagsubmit ka using USB (monthly ito ha, hindi quarterly), instant upload agad. Less error pa dahil hindi manual ang encoding. So ngayon siguro, kahit sa mga homeowners eh nirerequire na nila yan.

Pero I agree na super inconvenient talaga for the amo. Lalo na kung isa lang ang employee. Saka paano kung walang computer? Madidiscourage talaga ang mga homeowners na magbayad.

^Pwede sis magbayad ng over-the-counter sa bank (but I don't think na pwede ang online payment). I-search mo kung anong banks ang accredited malapit sa inyo. Pwede rin sa SM Malls yata. But paying is different from submitting the R3.

Pag nagbayad ka kasi ng SSS for your helper, under your name ang resibo kasi employer ka. So irereceive lang yung payment. Hindi pa dun nagtatapos kasi PARA KANINO BA YUNG CONTRIBUTION? Dun papasok yung R3 form. Sa R3 sinusulat yung details ng employer, ng employees (like SSS number, full name, monthly contribution), at ng payment (OR number, date of payment, amount). Ang R3 na ito ay pinapa-receive mismo sa SSS. Hindi yan tinatanggap ng bank.

quarterly kasi ako naagbabayad sis, together with my dad's max contribution (voluntary). at okay naman. mas nakasanayan ko na yong R3 form kaya nung sa R3 File generator na daw, bigla akong nagulat.

sis kung sa USB na for R3, ala talaga option for quarterly?
