hi sissies! im planning a family trip to au later this year. trying to decide if we should stay in sydney lang for the entire trip or if we can go to both sydney and melbourne within 10 days - considering we have two small children with us. im worried we'll get bored in sydney for 10 days or maybe too hassle naman to go to both cities within that time. what do you girls think? any advise is welcome :)

Yup, you can do both cities in 10 days, even with kids. Child-friendly ang Australia, so easy to go around. Kahit pag sakay ng public bus with a stroller, kayang kaya. Difference between the two cities (from what I've experienced): mas madaming madaling mapuntahan na beaches in Sydney (and the harbour is really gorgeous), but it's a lot more hilly than Melbourne. Melbourne CBD is mostly flat and laid out in a grid, so it's very easy to go around.

^Nag-resume na ang Sydney flights ng PAL. Pero highly likely pa rin ang cancellations kaya dapat very flexible ang travel plans sa panahon ngayon.

Australian borders are closed and only citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family members can travel to Australia.

The government will assess pa which countries they will open their borders to, depending on the number of active cases. Mukhang matatagalan pa pumayag magpapasok ng travelers from the Philippines at kami rin, matatagalan pa bago payagan bumyahe papuntang Pinas.

^it will take awhile pa. I don't think the government will allow us to travel to a country with as many active cases as the Philippines :( maybe next year... fingers crossed!

Hopefully naman by Easter next year.

The Australian PM just recently announced plans of opening our international borders next month. We have 4 approved vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, J & J and Astrazeneca) and 2 recognised vaccines (Sinovac and Covishield). Not sure if the requirements for entry will be the same but I'm hoping we'll hear more about it in the coming weeks. And what about the rest who had Sputnik, etc?

Another concern - kahit the international borders are open, State borders may remain close, like QLD and WA are threatening.

I guess we'll wait and see.

i wonder why do they (even in canada and other country) only approve the branded vaccines and setting aside the other ones. as the WHO said all brands are effective and take what is only available. this really makes me sad as my vaccine is sinovac.
