Best Brand for TV?

Last year, I bought for myself a 42" plasma tv: Panasonic 42x30, worth 30k.
By now, this model is being sold at 25k or even lower.
This tv is great for HD content. Since i only get HD videos, i am always happy to watch them on my TV inside my dark room 7 feet away from the TV. It would feel that i am watching from the cinemas.. well, minus the extreme sounds.. i only got myself two-channel speakers, no budget eh.

But really, i am very satisfied with the performance of my tv.. if picture quality of HD videos is what you are after, then i would gladly suggest this tv. or any other Panasonic Plasma TV for that matter (coz my TV is the entry level for 2011). I did buy this tv after reading much stuff online after all.

But for LCD/LED, i'm not really familiar with them. As for brand recognition, i'd suggest LG (for performance on a budget), Sony and Samsung (Style), Toshiba (Picture quality)..

Btw, if you will only use your TV mainly for Standard Definition (SD) content (Standard Cable/DVDs), i suggest getting only HD TV (720p), and not Full HD (1080p) TVs, because SD content is at 480p, thus stretching 480p content to your 720p TV produces less noise (forgot the term), compared to stretching 480p to your 1080p TV.

I just want to share what my parents bought last november 2013 for our living room.
We got a 51" full hd (1080p) plasma tv from samsung (model: P51F5000) for 40k with free 28" LED TV (which is not used in my room).
If the tv is sold, the plasma tv will be valued at roughly 30k. I think this tv is really value for money, considering the size.
Although i still prefer the picture quality of a panasonic plasma tv, at that price, i think i can forego that muna.

This tv is solely being sold by Abenson (as of last november).

I am not connected to them or whatsover, but i think it'll be great for people here to know

We just upgraded our > 5 year old TV.  Checked out several brands Vizio, Sony,  Sharp, LG and decided on Samsung. 
Considered the 4k TV, curved screen, differences in refresh rate etc.

Went with the Sasmsung Series 7 3D LED Smart TV 60 inches.
The picture quality is amazing, better than what they were showing in the store.
It was very easy to set up and the TV was surprisingly light (we picked it up and unboxed it ourselves).

i'm really envious of those who live in the US, there is a huge difference in price for TVs compared to those here in the philippines. Then you get much more discounts during sale periods.

Although not really the best brand, but i believe the MyView tv brand is pretty decent for its super cheap price. 40" for 12k (as what i heard from a friend) is a great deal imho.

I have tried and tested sharp aquos 29i led tv since i bought it in 2012 and today is 2017, di pa nasisira eversince and wlang sakit sa ulo... prob ko lang mejo kulang p tlaga sa new features and if ever mas mahal cya compare sa ibang brand pag mejo mataas specs nya pero sure thing pating tlaga na sulit cya... im planning yo buy a smart led tv right now but im considering devant kc mas mura and maganda specs but im too scared to try and nadala na kc ako sa LG nmin na abala tlaga kc LG plagi (laging gingawa) di n tlaga sakin makakaulit ang LG

Hubby ko ang arte sa tv...year 2012 bumili kami LG tapos mga ilang days na sa amin eh hindi niya talaga matake yung quality, may sinasabi siyang parang nagja-judder and masakit daw sa mata nya, buti na lang nasa ibang bansa kami, spoiled customers dito kaya napapalitan niya ng samsung...sa awa naman ng Diyos, sulit sa amin, hanggang ngayon sobrang appreciated namin quality...nag try na nga namin palitan ulit kasi pag sale ang tv dito, sale talaga, mas bagong technology ng LG 55" din pero nung try namin, mas gusto pa rin talaga namin quality  nung  lumang samsung kaya ayun, padala na lang sa Pinas yung LG at least hindi na niya sinoli

Our current TV sets:

- Samsung 60inch - 5 years and counting.
- LG 42inch - 3 years and counting.
- Sony 40inch - 4 years and counting.

Yung mga brands like Devant, Skyworth, ang bilis lang nasira samin.

Sa tanang buhay ko, Sony lang talaga TV brand namin.

Muntik na mag-Samsung 3 and 5 years ago kasi sobrang ganda ng visual kaso olats talaga sa audio.

Upgraded our 10yr old 32" Samsung LCD TV to a 50" LG 4k Led TV. I guess we got a good deal for this, may kasama pa 6mos subscription ng Netflix. Naghahanap lang naman kami ng 4k na may bluetooth, good sound quality,  may pa bonus pa na netflix.  If you love movies, go for 4K, parang nanonood ka  ng 3D.
