your Kid's Baon (Nursery Student)
« on: June 11, 2013, 03:37:05 am »
MODS: If there is already a similar thread to this, kindly delete my post nalang. Thank you.

My son is a Nursery Student. He started going to school last May 27 for his Socialization Class. His class is from 9am to 11am so he brings cookies and juice as his baon. Next Monday will be their Regualr class na and it will start from 11:30am to 2:00Pm and his teacher advised us na pwede silang magdala ng luncg nila sa school. She said that since 15 students lang sila and they have 3 teachers in a class, they will assist the studens during meal time.

My question is, what's the best and most convinient baon that he can bring to school? Naisip ko kasi na sana healthy naman - yung may veggies, meat and sabaw. But I'm worried na baka mahirapan lang yung anak ko.

I don't want to give him hotdogs and other processed food as ulam because it's not healthy naman.

I'm also thinking of making a sandwich for him nalang and he will just eat rice pag uwi sa bahay.

I'm a first time Mom and I really don't know which is the best. =(

Any other suggestions mga Mommies?

Thanks!

Hi sis kiz_me1109! :)

My daughter will be starting her nursery class na today, and I plotted na her baon for month of June. I had to kasi she's the kind of kid who's not a fan of processed food (mga ham, hamburgers, etc), and only enjoys yung mga packed biscuits and the like occasionally (nagsasawa sya agad). So kailangan ko talagang mag-effort. :)

Mostly sandwiches ito saka ulam. For the first week (from today til next week), she'll have Mini-cheese sandwiches (yung hiwain mo yung sandwich into smaller, easier to manage portions para they're encouraged to eat on their own), Carrot Omelet and rice (scrambled egg lang with carrot shavings), hotdog waffle (from a pancake mix. balak ko din lagyan ng carrot shavings yung mix para may veggies pa din), Chicken strips pizza (bale bread lang yan na lightly toasted or kung makakabili ako ng pizza dough talaga, tapos cheese spread kasi my daughter doesn't eat anything with tomato sauce, and then strips of chicken on top), fish fillet bites... Tapos everyday, lagyan ko ng serving of fruit yung baon nya kasi she loves fruits. :)

I suggest sis wag na masyado sa sabaw, medyo mahirap kasi kainin saka may tendency matapon. Tapos yung mga packed food like biscuits and cookies, i-alternate mo na lang dun sa mga iprepare mo para may variety naman at di ka din masyado mahirapan (or para dun sa moments na wala kang time to prepare food).
Everyday is worth waking up for :)

try home made chicken balls. ( mashed potato with giniling na chicken rolled in bread crumbs and fry) then always may fruits. Fish fillet in white sauce, Baked baby potato and chicken. Daughter ko kasi talagang more on fruits din kaya if di nya magustuhan ang ibang baon nya, Sure ako na yung fruits is ubos :) then water lang, hinde ko cia pinag babaon ng mga chocolate drink and artificial juices.

my daughter's class is 11:00 to 1:30pm naman. She starts tuesday. I plan to give her sandwich as baon --- cheese, peanut butter, egg. Pwede din mini pancakes and crackers. Tapos laging may banana. Then si yaya ang may baon ng lunch niya just in case she gets hungry talaga, she can eat on their way home.

Super thank you mga mommies. =) All of your suggestions were really helpful. =) My son doesnt et on his own parin kasi. Although kanina, may sabaw yung ulam niya. And sinubuan daw siya ng teacher niya. At least now madami na ako options. Super thank you. =)
