You need to apply online.  Jobstreet, Jobsdb, indeed.  But they are quite strict now sa pass (Work pass, S pass, E pass).

Pwede naman sis makahanap maski di ka IT. Ako from 2011-2017 nasa HR Field, ngayon nasa Hospitality na. Tsambahan lang din kasi. Need ng lakas, tibay ng loob, panggastos na malaki at sipag sa pag-aapply online ng bongga. Good luck!

This thread has been quiet for months. Any news on job hunting prospects in Singapore?

I just returned from a quick Singapore trip. I have a renewed desire to look for work there - been wanting to move since 2009. I am a finance professional.

I heard from my colleagues in SG office na nag-taas daw ng minimum sahod for foreign workers ang SG at super strict na nga para lang makakuha ng pass.  Mahirap nga daw kumuha ng renewal visa ngayon if you are  working there dahil sa ginawa nila na pagtaas.  Me mga iba na di na nagrenew, yong iba naman nag change from regular employee to contractual para lang makapag-renew.

Kaya advise ko pa rin, apply thru job sites.

medyo stupid question but ask ko na rin. i received a job offer from a mnc for their manila office tapos sabi nung hr onboarding will be in sg. need ba ng business visa sa ganug cases or visa free entry pa rin? thanks!

^the right process is that your HR must secure u a work permit or visa since you will be working in SG. same thing happened to my friend but in HK naman, she was trained in HK but with tourist visa only, since 14 days lang ang tourist visa for Filipinos, nag-exit cia sa Macau kasi hindi kinaya ng 14 days ang training nya. Her company in PH is a big shared service, not sure why their HR did not secure them (yes, may mga kasama cia na sa PH naman bumalik or exit) a working visa. Nakakatakot ganyan kasi baka mahuli ka working but having tourist visa only.

Hi sis, work permit / pass application take about minimum 2-3 weeks. Lalo na if it's new application - it can take as long as 1month to have it processed by the government. Hope this helps.

update lang po regarding question ko if need ng business visa for training, as per HR, no need na daw to request for visa, they'll send a training invite na lang daw which i can present sa IO. they can also provide a COE if i need more documentation.

^hi sis! Thanks for updating us. Btw, have u asked your HR On what will be your response in case IOs will ask of your purpose? Technically kc u will enter SG still as tourist.

Here are the possibilities:
Tourist - IOs might ask for RT tickets, itinerary and accommodation.
Training - IOs might ask for your working visa or any equivalent visa and other documents from your employer in PH and mother company in SG.

I suggest if you will enter as tourist, ensure that your RT ticket is not too long, suspicious na kc as job hunting ang purpose pag like 1 month ang stay sa SG. For the documents, do not show them to IOs unless they asked for it.

^for the ticket, planning to get 1 week lang, Sun - Sat, will likely stay in 2 hotels kasi 4 days lang talaga yung training, will need to check out na by Thursday and i'll book a cheaper hotel na lang for the rest of the stay.

for the other docs, the company will provide coe and training invite. they'll pay for the tix din once booking has been made, yung hotel naman na covered ng training will be reimbursed na lang. ang sabi sa amin, pagbalik daw namin dito sa office, file the reimbursements na lang for the hotel and other expenses via the reimbursement tool and it'll be credited naman daw agad.

Update lang, no issues encountered naman with both PH and SG IOs. With the PH IO, he just asked for a copy of the invitation letter for the training and asked a few questions about the company. More on he wasn't familiar that our company has another arm operating in the country other than the BPO/call center site. With the SG IO, wala namang questions, tuloy tuloy lang.

Would like to share my SG job hunt experience:

Employers are very particular now about hiring foreigners. Mas-prefer talaga nila Singaporeans or PRs. I applied for jobs from Jan-May to no avail (sent out like 100+ applications). I was super discouraged back then. I was pressured then to find a job because the husband was working in SG and we wanted to be together.But eventually, he was able to bring me in under a dependent pass.

Nag-resume ako ng job hunting while living in SG in September, and I really believe that having  a Singapore address and contact number made the difference, because I got a lot of call backs, and eventually secured a job with an MNC  2 months later. Nothing changed in my CV, just my address. And it was like the window of opportunities blew wide open.

This isn't to discourage everyone else applying, but wanted to share lang the current situation now of the job market.  A lot of the online application sites that companies use will filter you out already when you indicate that your residence is outside Singapore. So if there's a way for you to get around those systems (ex. get a referral, connect with someone on LinkedIn), maybe best to do it that way.

Wow. This is a very informative thread. Ang masasabi ko lang keep trying if you really want to work there or anywhere. Minsan nasa effort lang talaga yan that will allow you stumble upon that 5% or 10% chance to work in another country.

Just make sure lang lagi na legit yung kausap natin. Be safe and goodluck.
